I was at Wembley for an event and honestly did not have high hopes for the food here. They had a limited selection - the only 2 options I could see were Falafel and Chips or Falafel & Spinach Burger and Chips. We decided to go for the latter. It cost £14.50 and I was fully expecting it to be very average and disappointing. However I was pleasantly surprised! The chips were nice and crisp with a good flavour and good sized portion, and the burger was really nice! The patty had a crispy coating and great flavour and I actually really enjoyed it. I would actually say it was good value for money given how much it costs to buy a burger and chips in a normal environment let alone a venue like this where you expect massively inflated prices.
Would love to see more choices for vegans but very happy with the food I did get!
Outside the stadium there is a burger van and they have fries. No idea if they are cooked seperate.
Once you go inside through your gate you can walk access all areas but everything is on repeat.
The food counter had 2 options. Non vegan nuggs n chips and vegan falafel n chips with vegan mayo. Clearly labelled. £12 and £4 for a pop. They had a crunchy chckn tasting deep fried coating and falafel on the inside. Nothing to write home about but tasted fairly decent.
Free water dispensers with paper cups.
Expect long queues.
Im guessing you can take food in.
You can take water in but they take the lids off all drinks for safety reasons. Apparently bottles are more of a trip hazard when full.
All in all Id say I’m happy as can be expected in a pre vegan world. It’s bound to be expensive when they have a captive audience but really should be cheaper than the non vegan option.
How is it that dead chicken is slightly cheaper than some mashed up chick peas?
Note .. I forgot to take a photo but the one here already is similar. Dirty Beets is no longer there but the falafel has their company name on it.
I went to Wembley today (first game since the lockdown) and to my surprise they had a half decent fast food option of falafel and chips, with garlic Mayo. It was overpriced at £9 for what it was, but it hit the spot.
