Can't go wrong with Dumplings - Edit
Let’s start with the vegan dumplings—wow! They were oily but oh-so-delicious. My only regret? Not ordering twice as many. They did stick together a bit on delivery (team dumpling unity, I guess), so I can only imagine how amazing they’d be fresh from the kitchen.
Read moreNow, the banana coconut smoothie—perfection in a cup. It was huge, probably 20oz or more, and an absolute dream. As a self-proclaimed smoothie expert, I can confidently say it was creamy, perfectly sweet, and totally worth every sip.
Then came the veggie and tofu pad Thai. I was already full, so I didn’t give it a fair chance, but... was it just me, or did the sauce taste a little ketchup-y? My first bite of tofu was great, but the flavor kind of nosedived from there. I decided to save it for round two tomorrow. Maybe it’ll redeem itself.
All in all, it's worth a visit for the dumplings and smoothies alone. Just be prepared to vibe with a little pad Thai mystery! 😂
Pros: plenty of vegan options
Cons: Flavour of sauces? no sure - update to come.

An asian fusion restaurant with a VERY solid vegan selection! - Edit
I found this restaurant while trying to see if Ottawa had any good east Asian restaurants around that were either entirely vegan or had a good variety of vegan options. And I am so, so glad Wei's Noodle House exists!
Read moreThe restaurant itself is a bit hard to find--it's in the basement of the REMAX building. Took us a bit of walking around to figure out where to enter. The restaurant is very small, with about ~4-5 tables or so. We did dine-in as it was our first time going, but it's definitely more of a take-out place. The atmosphere is nothing special, but the place was clean, and overall pleasant.
The food didn't take long to be done once we ordered it, around ~15-20 minutes. They brought it to our table and we dug in! I ordered the Coconut Veggie Tofu Noodle Soup, and WOW. I loved it. I used to be a big Tom Kha fan, so this really satisfied my craving for that. The tofu pieces were large and had a very nice texture, and pleasantly absorbed the flavour of the broth. Serving sizes were large and good for the price. My boyfriend ordered their vegan Tofu General Tso, and I can vouch for that too being delicious. On our way out we also ordered 2 Potato Tornados (the garlic flavour). Those were very good, though the seasoning did not stick to the potatoes well and we ended up having to tear the potatoes apart to dip it in the seasoning that had gathered at the bottom of the container. Still, it was very tasty! I've had a lot of potato tornados in the past and these were just as good as some of the best ones I've had.
So overall, I'd definitely recommend Wei's Noodle House. But I'd get take-out or delivery, as dining in was a bit lackluster (but the staff were very nice!). The food did not disappoint in the slightest, and I'm very happy Ottawa has this restaurant!
Pros: Delicious tasting food, A large vegan menu with many different flavours, Timely order completion
Cons: Location is hard to find, Restaurant interior is lacking

Tons of options - Edit
I ordered the beyond dumplings, Pad Thai with veggie meat, and beef udon. Everything was really good, but I really wish I’d ordered the tofu or vegetable only versions, not the veggie meat versions. The veggie meat wasn’t my favourite, but others may feel differently. I also got a brown sugar oat boba tea. It was really good and I’d recommend it.

So glad I stopped here during my visit to Ottawa - Edit
Had the vegan vermicelli bowl and the tofu salad rolls. The peanut sauce was so good. I wanted to try the deep fried banana with ice cream ( they had a vegan option ) but didn't have room 😂

Favourite vegan food in Ottawa - Edit
I made an account specifically to gush about Wei's. It is by far the best and most consistent vegan food I've found in Ottawa. If you like East Asian food, you will LOVE Weis.

Met at Vegans Who Snack Fest in Ottawa! - Edit
The food was so good! Had the Vegan chicken skewer, the beyond meat in betel leafs, even the Thai bubble tea. So good and the service was great. They have so many vegan options on their menu. Highly recommend, I even went back the next day to their main location to try more dishes! Their portions are SO generous compared to typical vegan restaurants. Had the pad thai - it was literally better than some Pad Thais in Thailand, Thai curry Pineapple had so much flavor, and the spicy sate peanut tofu soup is 100% one of the best vegan dishes I ever had. The vegan chicken is made from mushroom and is incredible, more places need to get on this!
Read moreWish they had a proper restaurant style location it would be perfect but the food and extremely kind service makes up for it. 10/10 recommend!

Delicious but wasteful - Edit
The food is fantastic! I’d definitely eat here again and I’ll be craving it for sure. But I’m giving 4 stars because they don’t have any dine in plates/cups or cutlery, everything is packaged in take out boxes which is so much waste.

Amazing food - Edit
Last time I went they were still in Chinatown. Their vegan menu is amazing (veggie soups, tofu soups, dumplings, general tso tofu, pad thai, vegan ramen...), so if you're craving Asian food in Ottawa, Wei is a great choice.

AMAZING vegan food - Edit
Amazing and clearly identified vegan options. Even options for “vegan meat” but the tofu/veggie dishes are just as good. Get the vegetable dumplings and pad Thai. Awesome value for price, the food is sooo good and absolutely worth it. My favourite Thai/Asian fusion takeout in Ottawa!

Vegan Menu delivery - Edit
I've ordered takeout from here many times. I love that they have a separate menu for vegan food which takes the guess work out. My go to are the vegetable spring rolls (so crispy, light, but fill you up) and the tofu pad Thai. The noodles are always on point but I find 1/4 the tofu is tough.

Great vegan options! - Edit
always a treat to find a pho place that has vegan broth options. amazing peanut soup, great veg pho, and awesome bok choi & homemade veggie meat soup. also has several vegan app, wrap, rice and stir fry options which I have yet to try. ambiance is so so, but the freshness and quality of the food makes up for it. I'd give this 5/5 if Happy Cow would allow 5 stars for a non veg restaurant.
