Awesome spot - Edit
Have visited Watson’s several times over the years, whenever we visit Dunedin and it’s always been great. So nice to have a fully plant based cafe in a mall! Last visit had the cauliflower wrap, carrot cake and banana walnut loaf, all delicious! Great coffee too

Tasty food - Edit
Love the food here. I usually have the jackfruit panini. I have also tried a noodle dish that was really good and my partners vegan chicken burger was really yummy too.
Read moreThe only downside is that it is in a soulless shopping mall but I like that it maybe draws in people who might not realise it’s a vegan eatery.
Cons: In a shopping mall

The cabinet food is quite delicious and affordable. The menu items are pricier but also very nice. Can’t go wrong.

Yay for all vegan cafes - Edit
I’ve been to Watson’s a few times now and always enjoyed the food. I’ve tried the laksa, pad Thai, quesadillas and halloumi hash off the menu, and the cheese rolls from the cabinet (such a novelty to have a vegan cheese roll). Lots of seating available. Only downsides are they they do run out of things early some times, and apparently will offer cow milk to those who ask.

Tasty option in the Wall St Mall - Edit
I grabbed some takeaway lunch here while doing some last minute Xmas shopping - I was interested in the Buddha bowl but it was sold out (it was about 2pm) so I got a BBQ jackfruit toasted panini instead. Quick service and the panini was very tasty - I look forward to trying more of their menu!

Friendly staff, big selection, heartwarming food! - Edit
Made my first visit to Watson’s today and had the game changers brekkie. Really awesome and totally hit the spot. Soft ant tasty sourdough, nicely flavoured tofu scramble (could be more moist for my liking) and the homemade hash brown was incredible, creamy and cheesy inside! Such a nice twist. Also got a coffee with Otis milk, and a soft and fluffy blueberry muffin. Hard to fault the food, and the staff were really lovely too. It’s tucked away in the back of the mall, definitely worth hunting out!

Vegan cafe in the mall! - Edit
Only managed to get to Watson's once on this trip as there are so many vegan options in Dunedin. This was my first time here and we tried the breakfast wrap. They happened to be out of beans for the wrap but put in extra tofu scramble and rice. We didn't miss the beans at all. It was super tasty and super filling. Also came with a lovely side salad. Coffee was really good too. The cabinet was full of yummy looking food! Will be back next time for sure!

Best Mall Food Ever - Edit
It's in a shopping centre but every item is good. You can mix different salads into your salad bowl. Lots of desserts. Food comes quickly. Grab and go rotates, so there is variety. Better to go early.

Vegan paradise - Edit
We usually prefer some place with personal atmosphere and not place at mall. But this was our first all-vegan cafe in New Zealand, so we had to visit this. And it was absolutely awesome! Chick'n Burger and Chilly Filly Burger including fries were super big and Oreo Chocolate Cake was super tasty. There are so many vegan and gluten free options, we were like in heaven there!

So delicious, but BOY THOSE MUFFINS! Just amazing! I can't wait to move to Dunedin and buy those muffins every week (or every day...) Love Watson's Eatery so much. Also, the Oreo shake is amazing, not to mention the (very reasonable) delicious salads!

A must when visiting Dunedin - Edit
I go there every time I visit Dunedin, not only for the food but also cause I consider it a really good-vibes place. On my last visit (+2) I tried Malaysian Laksa, Chilli Philly, Mac'n cheese and some ¿phyllo pastry stuffed with curry?. We absolutely loved the Chilli Philly (seitan sandwich + fries). Hot flavour though, not for everybody. I've also tried the Hash Brown bagel (very impressive, full of flavour), Pulled jack fruit sandwich (my partner loved it) and the cheese rolls (nice as a fast option). So far, I like their savoury food better than the sweet treats and desserts. Anyway, Watson is an amazing place. We can't wait to go back!

We had breakfast / brunch here, we were welcomed by very friendly staff and lots of all-vegan options. To be honest I couldn’t control myself, I ordered a main, drink and dessert, each for my Girlfriend and I. Everything was delicious, the best pancakes I’ve ever eaten! Will come back if I ever visit Dunedin again!

Fantastic food, freshly made. My partner has food allergies and the chef came out to talk to us and accommodated our needs. The Mexican vegan Quesadilla and the pad Thai were both delicious. Would come again. Only damper is the Mall environment, but hey, at least they inject some goodness into the place.
