The best service ever & good food

Came here after visiting Wuhou Temple and it was perfect!
We ordered the bao's, a small Dandan noodles and the ribs (which came with a gravy sauce and potatoes, kinda like poutine). They also had some good looking desserts on the menu!

Pros: all vegan , verrry friendly host :)

Still Open - Increadibly Friendly + Good Food

I went a little late and one of the last customers but I, after being in China now travelling for 4 weeks, think the two ladies I met working here were just the nicest.

So calming and so funny.
The food was amazing, all vegan.

It costs about 15 yuan max to get here from most anywhere in the city. Go here.

Great service, lovely food

The food was fresh ~ I literally got to pick some of my produce from the little store next door! The waitress could speak English which I’m so grateful for and the space was cute and cosy

Close to Wuhou Shrine and Jinli

I was in the area to visit the above sites, and saw this restaurant listed nearby. It has a large menu, though not all of the food may be available (one of the dishes I asked
about wasn’t). Plenty of fake meats and vegetable dishes at a good price, as well as a small grocery section you can buy from. Would recommend.

Pros: Good price , Quiet environment , Lots of meat alternatives

Super lekker

Alle gerechten zijn vegetarisch. Ontzettend smaakvol. Er werkt een vloeiend Engelssprekende vrouw die goed kan adviseren.
Grote menukaart.

Absolutely delicious

This is a quaint restaurant that really puts forth a lot of effort to make flavorful food and provide a wonderful experience. All of the food was delicious and we ordered the small portions of everything (except got a large ghee tea) and it was a lot of food.

Pros: Friendly staff that speaks English, Inexpensive, clean bathroom

Delicious food and great experience

If you wanna experience a real authentic lunch/dinner don't skip this place! Every member of the family/friends will find something they like here, whether if it's traditional Chinese dish or an interpretation to a western one.
I've tried a lot of the dishes and they were all great. They also sell homemade snacks and ingredients such as sweet yogurt, mock meats, soy products and more.

The food:
1. Vegan ham with sweet sauce: really good taste and texture, adviced to eat with some side rice so the sauce won't feel too strong. Great!
2. Dumpling: nice decent ones, some of my friends didn't like the filling's taste but most of us liked it.
3. Buns with side filling - the buns are dreamy soft, and was a great thing after not finding vegan bread for months in China. The side filling that comes with it was a bit too salty but at the right amount was going great with the buns, and the making-eating process of the bite is fun. Don't skip this one!
4. "Chicken" wings: very good texture, fills like real chicken. The taste is a bit too sweet for a salty dish but the crunch and the texture makes up for it.
5. Sausage: nice fake meat bits next to some other dishes but defenatlly not something to get full from. We liked the texture and the flavour as it was smoky like.
6. Homemade yogurt: perfect! Sweet, light and so comforting, especially after a long search of vegan "dairy" products in China. Take some back to home/the hotel if you have a fridge to keep them in.

Do not skip this resturant! Cheap prices and delicious food, with a very welcoming crew and take away snacks and ingredients options.

Pros: Cheap, Delicious and very wide menu, Authentic atmosphere and nice locals to dine with

Great Place in the Tibetan Quarter!

As a previous review mentioned, the photos are outdated, so don't expect the large menu above the counter. No problem though, the menu items have English names. The Tibetan male waiter speaks some English. The food is tasty, and you can buy faux meat stuff for home cooking. They include free tea. The map location is correct. On the wall there's a sign saying they got the lowest ranking for food safety from the inspection authorities...don't know what to make of that. Perhaps a local could shed some light on whether that is relevant. Best to bring your own chopsticks, I guess.

Pros: Good prices and fast service, Tasty!, English item names in the menu

Love This Place

I come here pretty often. The staff speaks little English but are super friendly and helpful. Also the menu is in English and has pictures making ordering easy. I love the sweet and sour "pork" as an ap and there are a bunch of really good entrees to choose from. My partner and I usually spend around 100rmb and are stuffed.

The interior has changed since the photo was taken. There is no longer a menu above the counter.

Pros: Good totally vegan food , Friendly staff, Menu in english

Cons: Run out of items often

Friendly place

This is a nice little inexpensive place with a friendly atmosphere, near Wuhou Temple. Decent, tasty food. We ordered 3 dishes, all contained mock meat. The staff speaks some English and is very willing to help. There's a picture-menu.

Pros: Friendly place, Inexpensive

Solid low-cost fast clean vegetarian

I went for dinner. For 16 yuan I got nicely prepared mock-pork in a light sweet sauce, white rice, a portion of lotus root, soup, and I think there may have been one more veggie. Definitely a big meal for the price. Not gourmet, but good. Food is served very quickly. The location, near the Wuhouci Museum, makes it a convenient choice. I spoke with the proprietors. They have five vegetarian restaurants in Chongqing. Lotus (3-4 Qi Dao Yan Jie, Gao Sheng Qiao, Chengdu) is only a few blocks away, has the same menu, and is already listed on Happy Cow. I think its full name is "Lotus on the Water". Lotus Vegetarian Restaurant
(2nd floor, No. 31 Bai Yun Si Street, Leyouyuan, Chengdu) is also listed on Happy Cow. It is a full restaurant (not fast food) but I didn't have a chance to visit.
