Fantastic - Edit
Small and charming café. I had the bomba al cioccolato with a soy cappuccino. To die for - highly recommended.

What An Experience! A Destination Spot - Edit
What an experience! The pastries are exceptional, the cannoli was probably the best vegan dessert I've ever had.
Read moreThe service was amazing, the staff all the staff made such an effort even with my bad italian. They also gave me a free coffee and refused to accept a tip. It was genuinely a wonderfull experience. If you're a vegan visiting Rome make sure you get out here.
Also the price point is insane. We had: 3 savoury pastries, a slice of cake, 3 cannoli, a coffee and 4 biscuits for 20 euros.
Pros: The Best Pastries, Amazing Service , Incredible Price Point
Cons: Absolutely none, just go.

my favourite in Rome - Edit
I absolutely agree with the enthusiastic comments below. I just would like to point out that beside offering a variety of tasty cakes, pastries, cookies, wanimisu and "cheese"-cakes they offer everyday options for a quick vegan lunch. In addition everything in the shop is organic and cutlery and plates are compostable and environmental friendly. They will also offer a vegan treat to your dog ;)
Read moreUpdate October 2023:
It’s been a while now that management has changed… the food is still very nice, but opening hours are reduced, often we don’t find the variety of food that used to be in the past, no more theme evenings (for example the supplì evening), also because they close quite early, no more biblio tips (owners used to buy with tips vegan recipes books or others about environmental changes, vegan trips… they new management just inherited the book shelves), no more “trekking wit Wani” weekend (one of the girls that owned the bakery is a hiking guide)… summarising the food is absolutely good, but the soul sadly is not the same

Many tasty pastries at an affordable price. We particularly enjoyed the croissant with marmelade, the gianduia “donut” and the cappuccino with oat milk. Limited seating.

The pastries and pizza were nice, however if you want a larger lunch, don't go on sunday, they don't do those that day because they close rather early.

Fantastic baked goodies at a solid price - Edit
I paid 1,80€ for a pain au chocolat, which is not too far off what you'd pay for a non-vegan one in a regular bakery. It, and everything else I tried, was delicious. Well worth the hour it took to get there.

Exceptional Vegan Food! - Edit
Though over 3 miles from my Airbnb base, I decided to take a taxi to WANI and so glad I did! The staff was so kind.
Read moreI honestly had a hard time choosing what to try...so I ordered extra to take home. The spinach quiche was really yummy, even cold, with a lovely crust. The zucchini savory cake was out of this world. It almost had a corn bread feel to it. I ordered both of these with a green salad. Those croutons alone were incredible and I would love to know their secret! Then the desserts...
Again, decisions, decisions. I opted for a cream filled donut and a chocolate petit-four like cake to take away, and I opted to have a tiramisu right there, even though already quite full. The tiramisu was absolutely delicious. Before I went vegan, I ate a lot of tiramisu, in Italy. I can confidently say this rivaled all the non-vegan ones I've had. I'd even say it's the best.
If WANI had been more geographically ideal for me, I would've been here more often.
Oh! I also love that they support such wonderful groups like the Asian bear rescue. They're near to my heart too so I added some coins to the collection jar.
Pros: Inexpensive, Great selection, Delicious food

Best vegan chocolate doughnuts ever - Edit
This is a fabulous vegan bakery but the chocolate “bombe” (vegan nutella filled doughnuts) are a must and if you time it just right then they may even be still warm. There are many lovey vegan goodies here and a must for a decadent breakfast or treat.

Delicious - Edit
I tried the chard tart (savoury) and the chocolate croissant (sweet). The tart was cheesy and the pastry had a good texture (not soggy), it was a tad salty but I liked this. The chocolate croissant was full of vegan Nutella and sprinkled lightly with icing sugar and cacao powder, I enjoyed the croissant due to the filling but it was not the flakiest croissant I’ve ever had.

Tasty - Edit
We enjoyed a crossaint and a bomba (fried dough ball with chocolate cream inside). My boyfriend liked the chocolate cream a lot. We came around 11:30 and the only savory option was a quiche, which we also tried (good). We wished it had more savory options. The cappuccino with oat milk was intermediate. Apart from this, it is a lovely place worth checking out!

It was a little out of the way from the main city, but took an extra bus to get here and had a delicious chocolate croissant and Smoothie for breakfast one day. They had so many baked goods and loved that everything was vegan! The owners/staff were so kind and appreciative of us visiting. I wish I didnt get so full to have room for more! Definitely recommend making a stop for specialty vegan baked goods you can't really find anywhere else!
