Great vibe - Edit
We found this place on our last day otherwise we would have definitely been back.
Read moreGreat coffee and half the ice creams are vegan. We tried the chai and the poppy seed, both very refreshing.
They also had some vegan cake but we didn’t try that.

I had the vegan affogato! It was delicious omg the creamy icecream wit the cafe was insane. Minca is expensive so you expect to pay a bit much but the quality is amazing. All local produce i wish it was 100% vegan haha

Tonka beans 🫘🍨😍 - Edit
Tonka beans are illegal in the USA and maybe other countries (like poppy seeds in Singapore), so it’s really cool to get to cultivate a relationship with this plant and try them here. Criminalizing plants is such an ‘interesting’ thing. Anyways, we were told these Tonka beans come from the Amazonas and are kind of like vanilla. It has notes of vanilla and almond and make a great ice cream flavor base for an affogato (coffee and ice cream).
Read moreAbout half of Waira’s ice creams are vegan! Most are honestly too sweet for my taste, but great flavor options and the drinks can also be made vegan. Pricy, but a cute, hippie-esque space. Love that there’s a lavender ice cream option. They were out of the chuma and poppy seed that day though.

Well I just learned something new! I didn't know that about tonka beans. Hope to try them in Colombia when I get there (hopefully next year).

Delicious and creamy! - Edit
Perfect snack and lovely café. The vegan icecream is based on coconut mylk and they have 3-4 flavors plus 1-2 sorbet flavors. Poppyseed was our favorite! The cone is vegan and really crispy and yummy. The coffee was also good.

Vegan ice cream! 🤩 - Edit
They have four yummy vegan ice cream options in this café, even clearly marked! I had chai and coconut, coconut had a bit of a too chewy consistency, but the taste was good. They also offer almond milk for their beverages. When I came they had no other vegan desserts though. The design and vibe of the café is beautiful though!

Real vegan ice cream - Edit
Was such a pleasant surprise to find vegan ice cream, not just fruit sorbet. The ice cream was coconut based, I really liked the poppy seed flavor. It is expensive by Colombian standards, but it was worth it for a nice treat after a long hike.
