A small but great restaurant for vegetarian food

A small restaurant that seemed like a family owned restaurant and is good for vegetarian food in Hanoi. In fact it is the 2nd best place for vegetarian food that I found in hanoi

Must try : the coconut 🥥 icecream 🍦

Nice and calm atmosphere, good food

The food was really good, the atmosphere nice, it is quiet and calm! The reason for 4 stars only: the menu is only in Vietnamese and the very friendly staff does not understand a word of English which makes the ordering complicated. The food is neither Vietnamese nor Thai but tasted very good!

Pros: Vegetarian with a good amount of different options

Cons: No English menu, No English speaking staff

Thai inspired, delicious

Nice, peaceful restaurant with great staff and delicious food. If you're expecting the food to taste like Thailand, you'll be disappointed, but that doesn't make it any less delicious. One of my favourite restaurants in Hanoi, they have a large and varied menu with some options you don't see elsewhere

Pros: Delicious

Cons: Not authentic Thai food

Nice staff, but not really Thai

The staff were very nice and accomodating, but the Thai red curry was more like a pumpkin soup with thai basil in. The deep fried tofu and sauce was enjoyable, but pretty straightforward to get right.

Pros: Deep fried tofu, rather than silken, Nice staff

Cons: Not Thai

Not actually Thai food

I really like Thai food and to have a break from the usual Vietnamese food I thought I'd try here. Looking over the menu, it seemed very Vietnamese. Even had things like Pho on the menu. I ordered a 'Red curry' to be given a very bland dish - no flavour, seemed to have no coconut milk. Apparently the dish was modified to suit the local tastes. So basically, they turned it into Vietnamese food! Ridiculous. Why not just call it a Vietnamese restaurant in Vietnam.
Other dishes ordered were all equally disappointing, such as the braised tofu and mushroom (hard to get wrong really).
Apart from this, the serving sizes were small, came out only mildly warm and were generally very bland. I left the restaurant still hungry.
I recommend requesting vegan food at Thai Express instead if it's Thai food you want.

Pros: Seemed clean, Many vegan options on the menu

Cons: Not Thai food, Bland, Small serving sizes

Very clean nice place

Liked the food. Will come again to try hotpot. Lots of variety of dishes. Some have mock meat, some don't. So that's fair, you can choose what you like.
