Safe and easy option in Notts - Edit
I had the tofu firecracker, nice and hot. Daughter had the Pad Thai. Both fantastic. Friendly staff. I forgot my reading glasses, they even had an easy read menu. Very friendly too.

No complaints - Edit
Never have an issue going here. The staff are always lovely, especially as I have allergies to fish etc. Being vegan that’s not an issue but restaurants sometimes want me to sign something. Food is always cooked really well.

Delicious delivery - Edit
Deliveroo. We pigged out and opted for the side bundle veggie gyoza, mushrooms buns and sticky seitan ribs. For mains for partner had the Vegatsu curry and I had the Veganuary special. Everything was really good and delivered on time and food was the perfect temperature.

Poor offerings and slow service - Edit
Whilst Wagamama usually offers a range of vegan options, many were not actually available due to a food shortage. I had to mix and match my dish with other ingredients but it left much to be desired. Restaurant did not make up for this with good service. Felt ignored most of our stay and had to serve ourselves too many times for a restaurant offering waiter service. A poor offering, won’t be back.

Food was meh - Edit
The food in my opinion isn’t really good and not very authentic so it’s not worth it for me.

I ordered:

edamame with salt.
kare burosu ramen.
The buns and edamame were really nice. The ramen was ok, the breaded tofu went soggy in the broth...
Pros: Lots of vegan options.

Good provisions for a non-vegan place - Edit
The maître d' sort of one asked me right at the door, unprompted, if I wanted the vegan menu. It made me feel like all my efforts were being graciously recognised. The food was really filling and tasty, though a bit salty. Not too costly for what it is.

I didn’t used to be a fan of Wagamamas but I think they’ve revised their menu and there are lots of delicious options now. I like that they have a separate vegan menu and the staff were very accommodating. The mock ‘egg’ looked very convincing!

Yay vegatsu! - Edit
I tried the vegatsu (very comforting and filling!), veg gyoza (tasty, and great dipping sauce), and the side of greens (broccolini and pak choy cooked with garlic and soy sauce - so yum, but kinda pricey for the amount you get). Would try the yasai katsu curry (panko breaded aubergine and squash rather than seitan) next time. The mushroom hirata steamed buns sounded good too, but the fact that they don’t sub the mayo - they just remove it and charge the same price - meant that I decided against ordering these... Service was efficient and friendly.

Best katsu curry - Edit
Amazing vegan katsu curry. Some of the other main dishes not so great for my liking. Enjoyed the smoothies/ juices they make. Staff is very friendly and have a lot of knowledge on the food served. Appreciate the separate and clear veggie menu. The place is always very busy and sometimes requires long waiting time.
