So many vegan options for a chain restaurant - Edit
I hadn't been to Waga's for about 5 years, I was surprised how many VG options they now have. I had the classic yasai katsu which was still super tasty. We also got the kare ramen which was a pretty big serving, had a little spicy kick but overall kind of bland. It's a shame the smalls/sides are so expensive - £8 for edamame!

Read moreI went with my fiancée and for starters we went for the Sticky Vegan ‘Ribs’ and Vegan Chilli ‘Squid’. Both were excellent! The ‘ribs’ had a lovely rich flavour and texture and the ‘squid’ was also full of flavour with a lovely crispy batter, really good! For our mains I got the Yasai Tofu Pad Thai and my partner got the Teriyaki Vegan ‘Chicken’ Ramen. I was a bit underwhelmed by my pad thai, I thought it was lacking in flavour and the tofu wasn’t the best. With a bit more flavour and better tofu I think it could’ve been really good. My partner was raving about her ramen though!

Fully dedicated vegan menu - Edit
Wagamama in the UK really know how to do vegan! I was surprised how many vegan options and very good labeled options on their dedicated vegan menu. I had two starters (gyoza and tofu and they were unreal). I was disappointed with the Avante Garden bowl I ordered, but it was still nice, the edamame beans at least 😬

Vegatsu!! - Edit
I've been to wagamamas many times and always get the vegatsu because it's a damn banging meal! It's my favourite and better than all the others (the others are like a 6/7 out of 10) vegatsu is like a 9-9.5/10!
Read moreTried the Avant garden and it was revolting, the egg was horrible and it was mostly just plain unflavoured veg and edamame beans. However the seitan was quite nice. The amount of rice was small and the overall portion too.
10/10 recommend the layer cake, it was really refreshing and delicious! Will definitely get it again.

I go there just for the “vegan egg” and its just disappointed, it’s like coconut yogurt with sauce, it doesn’t teste like egg. But the rest is really good.
