Tavern in the Vrijbroekpark offers vegetarian pasta as well as tajine of sweet potato, apricot and chickpea plus chili sin carne, cauliflower pizza, and chicory in the oven with mashed potatoes, apples, walnuts. Lots of vegetarian options, but nothing labeled vegan. We noticed 1 option that could be vegan, so we asked about the salad with mango, avocado, strawberries & almonds. This was in autumn/fall season, so a little bit out of place, but the waitress told us that it would be vegan if they left out the salad dressing. A little later, she brings the dishes WITH salad dressing and tells us that it's vegan after all. Not too sure if that's true or if they just forgot about it and went for the "easy solution". The salad was just like it sounds: ok, but basic. There were no options for dessert, but they do have soy chocolate milk, so I ordered a hot one. It was difficult to get the attention from the waiters though, but I guess we could have just been unlucky. Hopefully there will be more vegan options in the future with clear labelling...
