Glazed Doughnut - Edit
This is the second Voodoo Doughnut I’ve been to and I was hesitant to order a vegan doughnut. The Orlando location’s vegan doughnuts all tasted stale and dry. Luckily I stuck with a classic vegan glazed doughnut and it was very good. Light, airy, and sweet.

Maple cream and PBJ for the win - Edit
Really good donuts here: crispy, a decent size, and delicious cream or jelly filling. I'd probably eat in next time as the wrapping takes some of the icing with it. There were about 8 vegan flavors and a tonne more non-vegan options. The maple cream and PBJ were really good. I hope they decide to do away with the bacon and make it facon in the future.

Sugar Fix - Edit
Had a good chocolate glaze donut, but the apple fritter had almost no apple in it - very disappointing.

Disappearing vegan options... - Edit
I loved Voodoo donuts for that occasion sugar craving. I was super shocked and sad to see my favorite vegan flavors disappear though. I miss my "grape ape" and "blunt" option....at least there's still "dirt".

Voodoo Doughnuts - Edit
Visit: 3/1/2019
Read moreI was very excited to visit Voodoo Doughnut in Austin, as I had a very positive experience at Voodoo Doughnut in Portland in the past. Unfortunately, I was let down by this location. They were out of many of their vegan donuts so my choices were a bit limited. I ordered the Portland cream doughnut and it was very dry and not worth finishing. Certainly not like the positive experience I had in Portland. I'll stick to the Portland location for now.

Good if you’re drunk or it’s 2am - Edit
If you need a doughnut, and it’s the middle of the night, you kind of only have one option. It’s nice to have an option at all. But, it’s not the most delicious donut option available to you during daylight hours.

Cons: Too easily confused with the non-vegan ones, Milk and eggs and bacon all up in the place, 6th street

Sugar city - Edit
This company made the poor decision to remove the vegan cake donut from their entire menu forever and I will never understand that decision.

dirty six - Edit
Convenient & hits the spot like no other after last call on Sixth Street. Sells out easily though. Not the best donuts in the world (I’m spoiled by Ronald’s in Vegas), but very creative and tasty flavours. To die for if you’re drunk.

These donuts are fantastic and you can get them anytime of day which is great because im usually never up early enough to get them. Good prices and friendly staff and vegan donuts don't need to say anymore than that!!!

Good snack food - Edit
This place offers a number of wildly-flavored doughnuts, with many vegan options. I prefer less-sweet desserts, so I got a plain vegan doughnut--which was great, and cost only a buck.

Love these Voodoo Doughnuts. I have only had them at the universal city walk in California before, and was pleasantly surprised of how much better and fresher they were here in Austin.

Doooooh! - Edit
Don't let the long line out the door deter you from stopping in - especially because it moves QUICK! Blessedly, yeast-raised vegan doughnuts DO exist outside of NYC! Doughnut lovers, don't skip this one or you'll surely regret it. There are a good number of vegan options, though do note that not ALL the doughnuts are vegan. But everything is clearly marked, which is a huge plus.
