I am so disappointed with my experience here!

I was thrilled to discover that Voodoo offers vegan donuts, so my family and I stopped by one morning before our day at Universal. We each got a vegan donut and thoroughly enjoyed the food and staff!

We decided that we would go back at the end of the day to order a dozen vegan donuts before leaving Florida. We saw one of the workers write down our order correctly, collected our donuts, and returned to our hotel. We each had a donut for dessert, only to later discover that some of the donuts were not vegan. As an example, I noticed we had a froot loops donut, which was not listed on their vegan menu because froot loops are not vegan. We received another donut with marshmallows on the top. While vegan marshmallows exist, no donuts were advertised as containing vegan marshmallows. We even asked when we ordered that we would receive certain donuts like the famous voodoo donut and were told that they had the vegan version available. We didn't receive the specific types of donuts we were promised and we were left not knowing which or if any of the donuts were vegan.

My mother, who has been a vegan for a couple of years, woke up some hours after eating a donut from the dozen order with severe stomach cramps. I think they ended up just throwing random donuts in the box regardless of whether or not they were vegan!

I would not recommend this place if you're vegan or have a dairy allergy. The only reason I'm giving a 2-star review is because our first experience was excellent! I understand mistakes happen, but if you're promising vegan food then it should be delivered as such (especially since we are lactose intolerant and people who have dairy allergies could really get sick!). If you do go here, you have to watch them package your donuts and double check your order, even though you're promised a vegan eating experience. I just don't think it's worth the worrying.
