No vegan options at all - Edit
Empanadas looked very good but unfortunately there was not even one of them vegan. The woman couldn't speak English but answered in Spanish that she doesn't has any vegan ones. So maybe it is a good spot for vegetarians but for more you seem to need lots of luck

I'm a regular customer of this place. They usually have one or two types of vegan empanadas. However, depending on the time you go, they might have sold them all already.

Pińa Empanada - Edit
The fact that there could be usually 5 vegan empanadas on offer at any one time speaks volumes. Today however there was only one but I have seen more when walking past. There is obviously demand. Nice interior with plenty of seating. Friendly staff who are very proud of and display good knowledge of their delicious products. There’s a beer and 3 empanada deal on for €6.90 as well as other offers or you can simply take away. Excellent quality. No hassles. Perfect quick fix, on the hoof take away or with a glass of Argentinian vegan wine inside

Man didn't understand 'vegan'. - Edit
There were five vegan options listed but it seemed like none of them were available. I asked the man (in Spanish) if there were any vegan options and he pointed to a few. I ended up with what I thought was vegan cheese but turned out to be real cheese. It might just have been a one off but it seemed as though he didn't understand the concept of 'vegan'. He also spoke no English and I no Spanish/Catalan so it was difficult.

Cons: Confused 'vegan' with 'vegetarian'.

Definitely worth it! - Edit
The first time we tried, they were closed despite HC & google listing them as open. We went back the next day and they only had one vegan flavor so I got three and they were great! It was a mix of sautéed veggies and good enough that I got another three to go to snack on later!

Happy coincidence! - Edit
We were on our way to another listing when we happened to stop right in front of Volver, as my husband grandmother wanted to show us that they have great empanadas.
Read moreAnd in the window their menu had three sections - one for meat eaters, one for vegetarians, and one for vegans.
This was late, so they only had vegan empanadas of one kind left, but they were delicious!
This place is not wheelchair accessible, but there were places to sit outside too.
Staff were friendly and knew what “vegan” meant.
Pros: Affordable, Delicious, Vegan options clearly marked
Cons: Not wheelchair accessible, Might not have all the vegan kinds available
