Not all 'vegan' is vegan

Although I had a very enjoyable time with my non-vegan friends here, I would not recommend going here for vegan tapas options. There are some tapas dishes marked as vegan, including some that contain mayonaise. When I asked the manager whether the mayonaise was, in fact, vegan, he laughed and said; 'of course not, how can mayonaise be vegan?'. When I asked him why the dish was marked as vegan, he laughed again and said; 'it's gluten free' 🤨 We ordered some of the other vegan tapas, but it was basically all just fried veggies. The fried aubergine was dipped in honey, and I'm pretty sure the spinach croquettes were not vegan either. Nobody was able to confirm they were.
The dishes that were vegan were not worth it. There are many great vegan restaurants in Berlin where I would rather spend my money. Lesson learned 😉

Pros: Live music was funny

Cons: No knowledge of veganism, Confusing vegan for gluten free, Few options are not worth your money

Vegan section is wrong

We are vegan and we were ordering the vegan tapas. Friendly waiters, beautiful place. Very oily but fine. Unfortunately, some of the tapas that we had had were NOT VEGAN, don't know if were the Mojo salsa potatoes or the croquettes, because we had had a strong reaction to something had laktose (milk or cream) and we were feeling ill 30 minutes later. When you are vegan for longer than 6 months, the body don't produce ANYMORE the enzymes for can digest milk or cheese, and the reaction of the body is terrible painful during hours. Please, label the tapas as vegetarian or vegan correctly.

Pros: Vegan options

Cons: Not correct la labelled as vegan!

Probably the only vegan paella in Berlin

Though we waited for quite some time, the vegan paella was good and topped with an assortment of fresh vegetables.
Huge portions but also quite pricey (31€ for the paella for two) ( it’s 15,50€ per person)

Would not recomand. Very touristic.

Paella is only for two people. I came buy myself and could not make an order.
Other tapasses are mostly just different deep fried vegetables.
Two stars because they do have a vegan dedicated page on the menue.

Pros: Vegan menue

Cons: Very expensive. Almost all is deep fried

A number of vegan tapas options

Vegan section on the menu. Tapas were very good but rather small portions. Would recommend getting a few normal sized tapas rather than the vegan tapas plate. Sangria was also great.

Pros: Very tasty, Nice atmosphere to sit outdoors, Clearly labelled vegan food on menu

Cons: Small portions, No vegan dip selection

Nice Staff, Comfy Seating

To confirm another review here, the “vegane” section is *not entirely* vegan. In the German menu, there is an allergy information (listing of A, B, C, etc) at the back of the menu. This shows that there are a few tapas that have E (fish) or G (milk) on the “vegane” section.

However, the options I ordered (cauliflower and grilled veggies) were tasty. I feel the grilled veggies were a little oily, so I used the bread to help. The cauliflower was fried but quite tasty.

Lovely staff and accommodating to English or German speaking.

Pros: German and English menus available, Comfy seating, Vegan options (clearly labeled veg wines)

Cons: A little pricey, Misleading menu options, Super oily with grilled veggies

A little Spain in heart of Berlin

This resturant is right by the train station located by a row of trendy restaurants. We ate outside which was delightful with the festive light all through the courtyard after working 12 hour inside.See picture. What attracted me here was the vegan tapas menu. I was a little disappointed with the food quality. Expected more based the loacation.

I started with a vegan version of their salad. My coworker had their regular version which had egg so make sure you tell them you are vegan.
Which was plentiful and very fresh had mixed greens, corn, large pieces of tomatoes, carrots and a few other vegetable. This was the best part of my meal

I was going to get the vegan sampler but me server said it was not all vegan. Not if it was a language barrier. The menu was clearly marked as vegan. I believe a few of the item were not glutenfree so I stayed away from this option.

I had 3 tapas the spicy potatoes which sounded better than they were. They are like French fries with s spicy sauce.

The grilled veggies were tasty but had alot of oil. The mushroom were tasty but under

Pros: Vegan tapas menu

Cons: Not much option beside the tapas , Food quality was average, Pricey

Vegan tapas menu, but didn't like it

They have a vegan tapas menu with 8 different items plus a variety item. We ordered the mushrooms, croquette, cauliflower, and eggplant. The mushrooms were good but the rest were so oily that we felt sick from their taste and didn't bother finishing them.
