Great view with great food

I wish I was here longer so I could come back and try more options. They have a separate menu and a separate kids menu that are all vegan. Everything we had was delicious i wish I could give it 5 stars. The ocean was very rough when we were there so it was alot of fun watching waves crash well eating.

Great little spot!

We loved our meal here. A little over half of the menu is fully vegan. Make sure to get the cauliflower appetizer. On the water.

Amazing view, great service, casual place

Little gem off the path in Westbay, on a beautiful waterfront with great sunset, beside a diving center. Fresh international cuisine, 90% vegan, 10% pescatarian with fresh local fish.

Pros: Fresh local fish for non vegans, Lots of Gluten free / diary free options, Fresh local eggs

Seaside dining with delicious options

First of all the location is so lovely. All tables are on a covered patio overlooking the sea and jagged rocks. Highly recommend getting a reservation for right before sunset. It was hard to decide what to order. Some of our favorites were the cocomari appetizer, lasagna, and veggie loaf. The dessert menu was also spectacular - first time I've seen a vegan banana split, and it was absolutely perfect.

Pros: Location, High quality food, Warm and friendly service

Cons: The bathroom was kind of scary - like a dungeon!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING

I’d give this 5 stars if I could. The food was so good, the service was top notch and the location is unbeatable. Sitting so close to the water that the space is shared with a dive shop!!! The owner was so friendly and everything was perfect.
Multiple visits while on CI and every meal was fantastic. This is a beautiful place with great food.
The Cocomari is so good it’s better than Calamari. Order two; trust me you’ll want more than one serving.

Fantastic Place. Just WOW

I agree with the previous review. This place should get 5 stars, but can’t since they aren’t purely vegan.

So many of our friends who ask what we are doing to be so healthy, when told of our new lifestyle respond with “I could never do that”. And then when we eat at a place like Vivo, we know that the reason they say that is that they have never really understood how awesome vegan food is! The Manchurian Cauliflower at Vivo is amazing. The Coco-Mari (coconut ‘calamari’) is also very, very good. We split the Lentil Loaf as our entree (and I could not have finished a whole serving; half was huge), and then finished with their cheesecake.
Understand that this is not an entirely vegan place, but there are many vegan options, as well as vegetarian and pescatarian. The point is, no matter how you choose to eat, you will find great food and great service at Vivo. Diana was our server, and she was wonderful. Franc is the owner/manager, and he is delightful and passionate about serving great food.

If you are in the Caymans, don’t miss the opportunity to dine here. The ambiance of eating ocean front just adds to the charm. We are already looking forward to our next trip.

Pros: Loads of options for vegan, GF, vegetarian, Beautiful setting right on the water, Great service

Some of the best vegan food I’ve ever had.

This place is such a hidden gem! Great flavors and good food. Have some non-vegans? No worries! They have some fish options.
But I think they’ll reconsider being vegan after this.

Try the cocomari!

A cute little place with lots of delicious vegan options, most of the menu is actually vegan and the view of the ocean is really nice! They have ceviche and calamari made from young coconut meat and it’s seriously delicious so definitely try those if you stop by. We had lasagna, the lentil loaf and cauliflower steak all were good. Definitely worth stopping by!

Pescatarian Restaurant with most offerings being vegan

Yummy. They are located in the same buildingas Divetech. View of the water. Lots of vegan options - including all the desserts and some cool vegan cocktails. I'm the only vegan in my family, with one other vegetarian, and the 4 non-vegs that went loved the food, more than us vegs actually. I got the loaf and the cocochoco, but the lo mein, side of potatoes, and smoothie were the crowd pleasers, and my non-veg cousin and one of my veg cousins liked the falafel best. The owner is soooo friendly and nice!

Beautiful food with a beautiful view

Delicious food & drinks and wonderful service at a gorgeous location. Most menu is vegan with some veggie options that can be veganised and a selection of local fish dishes (the restaurant promotes sustainable food). The cocomari (young coconut styled as calamari) is incredible and worth the trip alone. I got the veg stir fry which was good although a little sweeter than I like and I was very envious of my friend's vegan lasagne. The cocktails were great and the tables look out over the ocean with shades to protect from the sun and outdoor cooling fans. Service was attentive, helpful and super friendly. Hours have been reduced recently due to staff shortages & to give staff a break. Free WiFi

Pros: Cocomari, Delicious cocktails, Incredible view

Cons: Does serve fish, though for sustainability reasons

Caribbean mind blowing vegan brilliance

Have not even finished eating this before feeling compelled to write about my meal in Cayman Islands. This little diner by sea edge is buzzy and intimate. The French owner reintroduces foods you may thought never to have tried again but plant based. The faux calamari with vegan aoli is fashioned from young coconut, older softer coconut for the tangy faux ceviche. Cauliflower steak with creamy mushroom sauce divine as starter. He does his own kombucha and too full to gravitate onto vegan deserts. Worth airfare to Cayman 🇰🇾

Pros: Whole menu vegan or able to be veganised, Listen to breaking waves on beach, Sensational flavouring

Cons: It's a long flight to get here!

Amazing brunch

Got the Mediterranean breakfast and they added an extra falafel and removed the egg to make it vegan. The food was bursting with flavor and the atmosphere with the ocean right beside you cannot be beat. A hidden gem that I will return to.

My favorite place ever

We had the breakfast platter, which was amazing with falafels, mix beans, coconut bacon, toasts, and the ChickVeg Piadina, which tastes wonderful with the vegan chicken and bacon, the ranch and pesto sauce, tomatoes and lettuce.

Pros: The view, The food, The service

Absolutely wonderful!

The service was excellent! I had my wedding reception here and they had perfect service for our party of 10 and were sweet considering our crazy family. The food was delicious. We ordered the vegan parm which I haven’t had in so long and it was fantastic. The fries were also super yummy. They had great drinks and I am so grateful that they dealt with us. Great food. Location feels a bit far out but it’s a nice spot!!

The staff stayed an extra hour for us so they were super patient and nice about everything

Pros: Fantastic service! , Great food , Cool location

Cons: But far out

Love VIVO!

My husband and I ate here twice on our recent dive trip. The food was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere and service are icing on the cake. We had the ceviche, “chicken” Parmesan, VIVO salad, and a blueberry cake for dinner. All were delicious. My husband had the coconut pancakes for breakfast and I had the chickpea omelet. Outstanding! I can’t wait to return!

Pros: Vegan, Food, View

Cons: Nothing

Excellent

The Vivo salad was amazing. Very green and fresh. It was moderately sized but I ended up also ordering the sweet potato/quinoa/black quinoa cakes and I’m so glad I did. It arrived with the presentation of a five star restaurant and was amazingly delicious. My son loved the pad Thai. It is very small but you can sit outside over looking a dock.

Pros: Lots of veggies options

Great Views, Sunset, Food and Atmosphere

Outdoor Seating right on the water in a quiet area, perfect for sunset, was fantastic. Everything we ordered was so delicious. They had a Juice of the day ( green apple and celery ) and a Cake of the day ( Cannoli ) - both really good. My kids ran around and enjoyed the little pier while we dine. They had a great vegan kids menu and they enjoyed their meal as well.

Pros: Pescatarian & Vegan, Vegan Kids Menu

Wonderful atmosphere, many delicious vegan choices

My favorite restaurant on Grand Cayman. Ate here many times when visiting in 2016 and once so far on this visit. I love the atmosphere, located next to a dive shop and right on the water. There are many vegan options on the menu. If you are a vegan visiting Grand Cayman, don't miss Vivo.

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Cons: None

Essentially vegan

Vivo is essentially a vegan restaurant with the only exception being they serve lion fish for environmental reasons. Definitely worth the trip to the end of west bay. Love the “calamari”, ceviche, Burmese tofu, etc. most of the items are gluten free as well.

Pros: Essentially vegan, Gluten free , Great view

Yummy vegan!

Need to echo the previous reviews in wishing I could give it 5 stars. This was my second time, first for breakfast and everything was exceptional. Had the big breakfast with a side of sausages and it was big enough to share with my husband. The sausage did taste like the tofurky Italian sausage. Everything else was quite tasty, especially the potatoes with moringa and the beans.

Pros: Extensive menu, Even utensils and plates are eco-friendly, Everything tasted amazing
