Delicious!

Vegan items were clearly marked. I ordered the tofu soft tacos, which weren’t listed as being vegan, but the server was very kind about accommodating me. Highly recommend!!

🌮

I was so surprised with the menu! Everything was clearly marked vegan and there were more options than I expected. It was such a relief to be able to order and not say “no cheese, no sour cream, no xyz.” It was clearly laid out. Great drinks!

Pros: Tasty, Price, Options

Delicious Mexican Food!

We started with the chips, salsa and guacamole which were great! Then we each had the vegan burrito plate which came with picked veggies, more guac and slaw. The food was very fresh and the portions were large. There’s plenty of outdoor seating, too. Service was fast, accurate and friendly.

Fantastic vegan options

Delicious burritos and tacos. Some of the best I've had. Inventive, too, with the tofu burrito. Good price.

Great vegan friendly spot

Vegan options in every section of the menu, with local Ithaca tofu as an option to add as well. Solid prices and fun atmosphere. Be prepared for a wait on the weekends as they're working with limited hours due to COVID-19. Would be even better if they had vegan cheese and sour cream, but alas. Still a great choice for a dinner out with friends. I got the smothered vegan burrito and it was so tasty and filling!

Delicious taco salad

I don’t really like tacos but ordered the taco salad with tofu, thinking I’ll just not eat the tacos. Instead, I cleaned my plate! Best taco ever, light & crispy. Lime dressing was perfect, tofu tasty. Patio seating only, half hour wait for table, worth every minute. Server was excellent & food arrived quickly

An Ithaca Staple

I’ve been coming here for years, and it’s always been good. All the vegan options are tasty and decently priced.

Same options as pretty much any taco place

Has a few plant based items, mainly rice and beans. Price is good and staff is friendly. A step up from taco bell anyway.

Pros: Plant based options marked

Cons: Very limited

Swell

This place is swell! Anywhere you can get a very filling burrito for less than 4 dollars is a good place. Simple, easy food that somehow always tastes perfectly seasoned. If they make a mistake on your order (which has only happened to me once, about 10 years ago), they will quickly and kindly fix it. The staff is very friendly, and it smells so good when you walk in the door.
There are plenty of vegan options, and it says right on the menu what is and isn't. They're very willing to change up their dishes to fit food restrictions.

Pros: Delicious!, Cheap!

Fun atmosphere, meh food

If you are interested in great drinks in one of the most lively atmospheres with vegan options in Ithaca this is the place. Great outdoor seating for the summer months. The vegan nachos are great, but would be even better if they carried vegan cheese. Food is fine, but nothing to write home to your vegan mom about. Location makes this place.

Pros: Great drinks, Great fun location

Cons: No vegan cheese, OK food

They have beans here, so that's an automatic win already

My family and I came here about a year ago while on a road trip because we heard they had vegan options (which I liked) and meaty food (which the rest of my family liked). It looks nice inside the building, and it is nicely sized. One side is for take-out orders; the other is for sit-down orders. We ordered chips with salsa and guacamole as an appetizer, and then, I ordered vegan enchiladas, my dad ordered a vegan burrito, and my brother ordered tacos. The food all came with sides of fermented vegetables, guacamole, beans, and rice, so that was pretty solid.

Pros: Staff knows about veganism, Clean atmosphere , Good prices

Best margarita in town

Awesome family-friendly fresh "gringo" Mexican (i.e., they have locally-produced tofu available). The house margarita is the real specialty, but I recommend the tofu tacos, and tofu mole burrito. Kids menu (and regular menu) items can be made vegan by substituting refried beans for cheese, and omitting other dairy.

Pros: Comfortable, casual, homey atmosphere, Super friendly & caring staff, Margaritas!

Cons: Occasional slip-ups from the kitchen do occur

popular spot for students

Delicious! The basic choices are what you'd expect: classic components (rice, beans, guacamole, salsa) served in different styles (rolled into a burrito, on a plate with enchiladas or as nacho toppings...). I think the default filling is grilled veggies, but you could choose instead beans or tofu. Tables were packed on a Friday night during university semester, but a wait at the bar goes quickly while sipping a cocktail or picking from the long tequila list! Attentive, welcoming staff.

Pros: fun atmosphere, knows its thing and does it well, nice, affordable drinks

Cons: loud, not a diverse menu

Don't understand the hype

The food is very bland, and the vegetables often seem as if they are nearing their rotting stage. I prefer Chipotle.

Cons: bland

Great options and portions!

We've been here several times and have never been disappointed. We always get the vegan nachos and chips with guacamole. Their guac is amazing. My kids had enchiladas, my husband and I had vegan burritos. The portions are more than enough and we always leave stuffed. The last time we were there however, my 9 year old ordered vegan fajitas and loved them. We went back the next night because Pizza Aroma was closed, and we had a different server. He ordered the fajitas and she said they weren't vegan. Turns out they use the same grill for their meat and veggies so she said they can't be vegan and the other server misinformed us. My son was so upset because he couldn't get them again. He got the enchiladas and it all turned out fine, but he was really disappointed. I would still definitely go back though!

Great vegan options, creative menu

Several vegan options, all very clearly labeled on the menu! I had the vegan enchiladas with mole sauce, refried beans, black beans, guac, and pickled vegetables... delicious! Lots of food for a good price.

More inventive and interesting than the food at your typical Mexican or Tex-Mex restaurant. Huge selection of house-made sauces, almost all of them vegan.

Quick service and very friendly wait staff, willing to answer questions and even provided a sample of the mole sauce so we could judge its level of spiciness.

Outdoor seating was very nice on a lovely day! Perfect downtown location despite the lack of free parking.

Pros: creative menu, great sauces, good value

Great vegan options

They have a wonderful tofu option for burrito filling, and the beans are vegan. Lots of vegan options for condiments.

Pros: Good tofu, Clear labels

Cons: Noisy
