bests vegan burgers I've had!!

At Vivaburger we eat the best vegan burgers I've tasted (3 years vegan so far)!! lot of different "tastes" and pretty big! prices are OK, maybe a tad too expensive. But, this does not stop us from going back from time to time to have one of those super delicious burgers!

tip: wakame for starter!

Pros: Best vegan burgers I've tasted!

Cons: Tad expensive for spanish standards.

This is not junk food!

100% vegan. Large restaurant with a lively, friendly atmosphere. Huge portions of delicious, homemade organic food.

Spanish & English menus available. Outside seating available.

We came for lunch in February 2016, returning for drinks & tapas in April. Lunch again tomorrow?

Did not miss an opportunity to eat here!

Pros: 100% vegan, lively, friendly, big portions

Cons: none

Good selection of vegan burgers

We had the "Burger Queen" with smoked "cheese" and caramelize onions. Very filling and tasty altough a bit gooey. Will probably go there again.

Delicious vegeburgers, wide selection, casual

I ate here with about 10 omnis. Only one of the omnis knew it was a vegan place prior to arrival, so people were pretty surprised. But they went with it - a couple had to stare at the menu for some time before finding something to order, but eventually we all ordered our burgers. I ordered wine for the table and had a green smoothie myself. It was a social, so we also ordered appetizers, dessert, and coffee/tea. I have to say that people were blown away, kept saying they couldn't believe how good it was "even though" it was only vegetables etc. There is indeed a wide selection of different types of burgers and tastes.

While burgers on bread isn't generally my thing, this was a great meal and a lot of fun. I'm glad that dinner with double-digit omnis went so well, with so many positive comments. If you're traveling with a similar group (or not), this might be a great option for you.

Pros: Wide selection, clean and somewhat funky atmosphere, omnis will love it, and you will too

Cons: More options for whole-grain etc. bread

Nice place and Good food!

At first sight, the place appears unique and very stylish. Don't be fool: the prices are not as bad as a chic downtown restaurant.
A huge burger, that you'll finish only if uber hungry, costs 13,50 € with added baked potatoes and dipping. A wrap? 10,50€.
I had the Burger Queen and it was delicious, would love to try others from their selection.
My friend had an Arabic wrap and she didn't enjoy it as much since its sweet and sour flavour was too much to handle for her.
We tried a "bizcocho" together which is a spongy type of cake: tasty but not impressive.
Both of us had a pineapple cold tea and is was really good.
To be honest, the service wasn't one of the best but I get it since it was a busy night.

Overall I'd say I'll stop by another time if I'll ever visit Madrid again. The food and the atmosphere were remarkable.

Pros: Varied selection, Quick service, Great atmosphere

Cons: Service, Busy, Little dark inside

Unique Burger lives up to the hype!

The Burger Queen is full of flavor (not spicy), creamy and juicy with a little sweet. They have a menu in English, chic decor and a spacious dining area. This is my favorite vegan joint in Medieval Madrid.

It's mostly about the burgers here, but the have appetizers, fresh squeezed juice, wraps and desserts as well. Enjoy!

Pros: English Menu , Large portions , Fresh Juice

Yummy Burgers!

We came here for lunch on our last day in Madrid, and what a great 'last meal' it was! It was a Saturday afternoon, so the place was buzzing, but the staff were helpful and attentive, despite the fact that it was so busy. As mentioned in previous reviews, the menu is in Spanish, but our server translated for us. I had the vegan avocado burger and my partner had the burger with smoked vegan cheese. They were HUGE and came with tasty potato wedges. Delicious. I would definitely come here again, the food was great and the place was very cool.

Pros: Delicious burgers, Inexpensive, Cool vibe

Great food

This is in Plaza de Paja which we visited after a great time at El Rastro market (every Sunday!)You get off at La Latina metro and after the market it is about a five minute walk. The Plaza is pretty and full of people enjoying eating and drinking. Had such a great meal - the burgers are enormous and the wedges were cooked perfectly. Had to guess at the menu a bit as all in Spanish. The waiter was patient and charming and you can eat in the Plaza or inside - up or down. This is the best Veggie/Vegan restaurant I have come across in Spain. Also wonderful (and just on the corner of the same Plaza is a sit down vegetarian restaurant. Which is just called Vegetarian Restaurant from what I could tell! Also beautiful and has a good choice of hot and cold food. Can't fault it - you won't be dissapointed....

Pros: everything's amazing

Cons: A [censored] to find the Plaza without a map

Excellent

We really enjoyed it here and returned for a second round of burgers during our short break in Madrid. We were made to feel welcome and the staff were friendly and enthusiastic, especially on our return visit. They are still working on an English menu, but the server helped us work out what each option was. We visited both in the evening and at lunch time when we sat outside in the pleasant square. About a third of the menu is vegan and these options are clearly marked.

The burgers themselves are basically all the same - a soya based burger that they make themselves. This is really tasty and seemed to contain some veggies as well as the soya making it meaty. The choice comes to the topping of which there are about 10 different combinations - including falafels, mushrooms, cheese etc. Both times I opted for the 'China' burger which was topped with lovely shitake mushrooms and maple nuts as well as salad, vegan sauce etc. This was delicious and the rustic bread bun didn't become soggy and fall apart. My partner had 'Burger Queen' which was goat's cheese and salad which he also really enjoyed, although it was packed a little too full for him to be able to pick it up and eat tidily - not that he was complaining. Both came with a small portion of potato wedges, however we also shared some yucca fries which came with two sauces which topped it off nicely.

If you get chance to visit while in Madrid I would highly recommend it.

Pros: Awesome burgers, Several vegan options,, Friendly staff,, Nice location, Good value

Cons: No English menu yet

Call ahead

I walked quite a way to get to this restaurant but it was closed. I would phone ahead to check the opening hours as I don't think the happy cow ones are accurate, at least not on the days I visisted!

Pros: Located on a nice plaza

Cons: Opening hours unclear

Good burgers and wraps

We ate here because it was one of the few vegan friendly places open all day (without a break between lunch and dinner). My husband had a wrap and I had the falafel burger. Both were good, but my burger came with what seemed to be a lot of vegan mayo which I didn't see on the menu (it was supposed to come with a mint sauce) and I don't particularly care for. The yuca fries were really good. Service was good, but the place was very busy and this was at 6pm which is usually a calm time for restaurants in Spain.
