Second location of this vegetarian restaurant serving dishes like fried tofu with white rice, fried rolls, bbq mushroom skewer, noodle soup, and juice with fresh mango chunks. Housed in a spacious and modern looking building. No English spoken. NOTE: Reported that egg is used in most dishes, owners do not understand veganism and do not inform correctly about the ingredients of dishes. Open Mon-Sun 8:00am-8:00pm.

Vast mooi geweest - Edit
Inrichting is her en der aan vervanging toe. WC's rommelig. Er moet echt beter gekookt worden, het gemiddelde restaurant in Siem Raep is echt beter en heeft ook vegetarische opties.

Solid option, maybe without sparkle - Edit
Food was good, prices OK, nothing maybe to write an essay about but if your hungry that’s good place to get food:) and for sure it has to be mushroom skewers, they were very tasty:)

HIDDEN EGG IN MANY DISHES - Edit
***If you are concerned about having hidden egg in your dishes then don’t eat here. We cannot eat here any more until they label their menu correctly. Egg is used stirred through sauces and in marinades that you would not know***
Read morehaving eaten here for many years and asked many times about ingredients we've now been told that the mushroom skeweres are not vegan (despite being told otherwise previously). it's apparent there are other dishes on the menu that might contain egg too but despite offering to help them label the menu correctly they declined saying "we are a vegetarian restaurant". shame as we loved this place...

Medicinal Chinese Soup, Local!! - Edit
Lots of locals in the place so it you like to get out of the all-foreigners places this is great! Only one lady spoke English- it almost feels like a foreign country here hahaha. Seriously I so appreciate anything local and a fancy vegetarian local place is definitely a must see.
Read moreOthers have pointed out there’s eggs so if you are a foreigner who is strictly mentally vegan you may need to stay away from this otherwise amazing venue.
To me doesn’t matter I go by taste and loved my experience here. Chinese medicinal soup is very good and unusual but I love the taste.
Pros: Local venue not a tourist trap , Beautiful airy building with modern design , Actual locals around
Cons: Strict vegans are not happy here, People who want to be back home won’t be happy

Very good portions and prices! - Edit
Best place we went in siem reap. Very generous portions and cheap prices. We tried a bit of everything. The fake meat tasted like real meat. Definitely worth going if you are in siem reap. The only con is the service. The restaurant was almost empty and there were 5 waiters chatting instead of focusing on the people there

So-so food, but very unhappy service - Edit
In Cambodia, the service you get in restaurants and hotels is usually superior. I have stayed in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap over 30 days in the past 12 months, visiting dozens of restaurants/hotels.
Read moreI must say the service here was the worst I have had in Cambodia. The staff clearly were bored/unhappy/discontented. No smiles. No graciousness. Just silently plop the food platters on the table and quickly walk away...from three different servers bringing four dishes.
The food was typical of some Cambodian dishes, bland without much character.. However this here food seemed to have only salt added, not what you would expect in this country which prides itself for the amok spiced dishes. It was a waste of money, but no one cared since no one asked if we liked our meals. Not a pleasant experience from not one, but several servers.
Pros: Clean , Tables are spread apart for private conversations., Portions were OK
Cons: Service was simply depressing. Who died today?, Food was underspiced, bland.

Bad experience - Edit
I'm not allowed to give it 1 star but it's certainly not worth 2...
Read moreVery bad experience. The waitress spoke a little English so I asked her questions about the menu. I showed her the "vegan card" and explained I don't eat eggs and milk. I finally ordered the mushroom burger after making sure it's vegan. When she brought my order, I got a doubt on the bread (didn't seem to be vegan) so I asked her. She didn't understand so she called some other staff. No-one understood I was referring to the bread and kept repeating "no egg, only mushroom". I asked if if was homemade vegan bread and they said yes. Then I opened the burger and... mayonnaise!! I called the waitress and first she told me there is no eggs in the mayonnaise. I doubted it was a vegan one so I insisted. She called a colleague and eventually said "Sorry, you can change your order?". I left.
Maybe a good place if you're vegetarian but certainly not if you're vegan!

Amazing! - Edit
I loved this place. I came back multiple times while in Siem Reap. It was by far one of the cheapest restraunts for vegan food, and it was always packed with locals, so I assume it's local prices. I got the fried greens with mushrooms, which I still dream about. The tofu and rice on the hot plate, Deep fried tofu, and of course the mushroom skewers. All delicious.

Try the mushroom skewer - Edit
Food was ok but the mushroom skewer was really good. It was a bit cold but tasted like a barbecue steak skewer and was super cheap. If I were to go back it would be just to get a few skewers as the rest of our meal and the service was subpar.

Only for the drinks - Edit
They have really nice drinks. I ordered the mango passion and the passion tea and those were great. The noodle soup and dimples were just fine and the BBQ mushrooms were suspiciously good. They don't welcome you as they do on most restaurants of the city so just go a take a table.

Never again - Edit
The app won't let me give a one star review because a star is automatically added in support of veggie/vegan restaurants, but this is definitely a one star place in terms of food. I've been travelling in South East Asia for 2 months and this was the worst food I had by far. It was sloppy, gloopy and overcooked. The noodles were so soft they were falling apart. The dumplings were inedible.
Read moreThe waitress was so nice I wanted to tip her but she seemed really panicked as though she might get into trouble. Had to put her tip into a tip box that's shared and was being watched like a hawk by all the other staff. Felt so sorry for the poor girl who is most likely making 1-2 dollars a day max.
Go here if you want a cheap sloppy meal and want to support cheap labour, but if you have half a brain it won't take you long to find other amazing food in Seim Reap.

This place is popular, but it's not my favourite for Buddhist-style fake meat dining.

I have lived in Siem Reap for 3 years and visit vegetarian and vegan restaurants a few times a week, however I haven't been here for a long time.
The food is tasty, the ambience is fine. It's not as exciting as some of the other options in town for me though!

Fairly Good Vegetarian restaurant - Edit
First visited on 27/1/2018
Read moreNice ambience, cozy, classy.
Good food with reasonable price.
Or I would say it's definitely affordable to dine in everyday!
Ordered Kimchi soup noodle, fruity fried rice, spring roll.
The pumpkin shake it's a MUST TRY
Visited again on 30/1/2018
The Vitking sandwich & mushroom skewers still acceptable.
But great disappointment with the mushroom burger (a thin slice of mushroom patty, 2 slices of tomatoes and a piece of lettuce) and steam dumpling ( thick skin with dry tasteless unknown fillings)
Luckily the pumpkin shake still maintain its deliciousness

upmarket vego restaurant - Edit
Vitking House is an upmarket Khmer vegetarian restaurant with a beautiful garden setting and a great range of seating options ... the menu has photos of the meals with an English description so if the staff have very basic or limited English during your visit you will be able to know exactly what you are ordering ... there are lots of delicious vego options on the menu, many with meat substitute protein, so my non-vegetarian Cambodian friend was able to order familiar food that she said was delicious ... I had a Chinese style vegetable stir dish with rice that was very nice ... the pricing was moderate considering Vitking House is such an upmarket restaurant in an extensive garden setting

Hidden Gem - Edit
Compelled to leave a review since previous ones discouraging. Place is great, went at 6 pm and place PACKED almost exclusively with locals. Food has Chinese influence and tasty. Price on menu exclusively in Riels which perhaps is meant for locals. Mains about 2$, I had noodle soup, 8 steamed dumplings (small but delicious), and milk tea for under 6$. Give complimentary hot tea with meal. They have bubble tea for good price and tea quite good. Spacious with parking lot (havent seen this elsewhere) and they have A/C!!! Staff spoke english, menu has English with pictures. Vegetarian mockmeats available and ones in soup delicious. Enjoy!!!!!

to expensive for what you get - Edit
looks clean and very nice. But for Cambodian standard to expensive. For example: 500ml water is the same price as a 1500 ml in a random restaurant around Siem reap. I got a mushroom burger, what was no more than just a very thin burger, a bun and some lettuce/tomato. nothing on the side.
Read morea lot of vegetarian options for non vegetarian ingredients.
