Disappointing and going backwards with vegan options

Despite the consistent communication with the management of Vintage over the past five years, and noting that they changed their menu multiple times during this period, they did not bother to add a vegan menu. Vegans need to ask to veganize some of the items on the menu. We needed to explain every time we are dining there for no animal sourced ingredients, that we list them all to make sure they do not mess up. Shockingly, one of the staff accidentally mentioned that the curry they serve to us has cream in it and another staff told a friend it has fish sauce. We have been ordering this curry for over one year now misinformed! When a friend communicated this with them on their social media, they responded that they will explain the difference between vegan and vegetarian to their staff. Just like that.
Vintage is a total disappointment given all the efforts invested from our side as vegans in Palestine to improve their vegan options. A simple example that they had a vegan patty in 2019 and then they removed it from the menu afterwards. Now they serve supposedly veganized options with animal sourced ingredients in them.

Great option for vegan food in Ramallah!

In general I found it difficult to get people in Ramallah to understand what I meant by vegan (I ate a lot of falafel, pitta and hummus!) but Vintage Cafe were completely understanding and very helpful (the waitress used to be vegan herself). I had a veggie wrap without cheese and it was absolutely delicious! Definitely the best option I found for eating out in Ramallah.
