Great Food! - Edit
Our daughter told us about this place so we went there for Taco Tuesday last night. When we arrived, we were told that they were swamped and that it could take up to 45 minutes to get our food. The place wasn't packed but we sat down at a table and ordered drinks and the chips and trips (a nacho cheez sauce, guacamole and salsa). The margaritas were very good and the chips came out very quickly and were very generous with portion size. They gave us more chips after we used the ones that came out with the dish. We placed our order for food and also ordered another round of drinks, switching to local beers on tap (very nice selection of local beers). The food came out faster than we expected and the portion sizes were HUGE!! The RollinFattie was HUGE! We ended up taking home parts of all 3 entrees that we had ordered. The protein that we ordered was the popeye buffalo chik'n pieces and they had a very nice spicy bite to them. For dessert, we ordered a fried ice cream and cinnamon cookies. The fried ice cream was very good and the cookies came out nice and warm and were a very good size. We were so disappointed to hear that they will be closing soon. This is a family owned place and they are having a terrible time finding staff to work there. It will be a real loss to the community and for vegan food lovers.

Cons: Short on staff., Building could use some windows., Parking not great.

DELICIOUS!!! - Edit
Everything was amazing. Even the raw burrito. Get the chicken sandwich because it’s the best thing I’ve tasted in my vegan life. I almost drove 2.5 hours just to have it again. Can’t wait to go back.

Amazing since A-town - Edit
I've loved Village Taco since it's original home in Alexandria. Amazing flavor, large portions, and a large enough menu for everyone to find something they'll love. Best Tex-Mex in Columbus!

Yummy Vegan Tex-Mex! - Edit
I've wanted to try Village Taco for so long and have followed their journey on social media. I hope to eat inside one day but their to-go was great. I wasted no time and just parked down the street and ate in my car. Everything was fresh. Before I arrived, they realized they made a mistake when making a few tacos for my order, so they gave me the correct tacos and the ones they messed up! How awesome of them. I think my favorite dish was the mini chimichangas and potato tacos! Can't wait to return, I only wish I lived closer!

Your New Favorite Tex Mex! - Edit
You can’t believe the stories about VT till you go for yourself! You’ll hear that it’s the best tex mex someone’s had, that the joint is bursting with music/art/personality, that the couple who owns it is amazing and it’s all true! I believed all that before I went but after my first time... and second... and tenth... I was truly a believer!!! This is an A+ vegan restaurant. Make sure you go as soon as you can! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!

Cons: Street parking (Free though!), No natural light (harder to take food pics for IG)

Best Tex Mex, Live Music & Local Art in Columbus! - Edit
Village Taco is a family-owned-and-operated vegan business serving up the most delicious tex mex you’ve ever had! Folks used to travel to Alexandria on the regular to get a taste and now we are extremely lucky that they are here in Columbus on Parson’s Ave! Village Taco values purpose over profits and has created an atmosphere of love and community. You’ll often find them collaborating with other vegan businesses, and their space is decorated with local art, and filled with the sounds of local musicians. Village Taco has a killer Tuesday Taco and weekend hours (including brunch on Sundays)!

Best Tacos Ever! - Edit
This little taco Joint is a treat! It's 100% vegan and 110% flavorful. The chef knows how to put together flavor and texture combinations that will wow even non-vegans. There are some regular items, but the menu varies. Taco Tuesday is mostly tacos, of course, and so far they keep introducing new ones, like the Jamaican Smoke (plantains, charred pineapple, slaw, etc. on a soft blue corn tortilla) - amazing! On other days there are entrees such as vegan burgers, burritos ("Rolled Fatty") and enchiladas. The sauces are incredibly delicious, and the use of fresh herbs and spices is masterful. There are local craft beers on draught and the bar features local spirits. The atmosphere is cozy and fun, and there's free live music on weekends. What's not to love?

You have to try it! - Edit
Village Taco is a place you’re not going to want to miss out on! It’s not just their presentation that’s on point, but their many options, favors, service and so much more are too!
Read moreAs at a “typical” Mexican restaurant, you choose what protein you want in your enchiladas, burrito, etc. From my experiences so far, you can’t go wrong with anything you choose.
If you’re into spicy- get the popcorn chick’n appetizer!
A full bar is available.
There is bar seating, high and low top tables.
Small parking lot around back. Street parking is otherwise available.
Pros: All vegan, Full bar, Great service

Taco Paradise - Edit
I was so happy when they opened a place in Columbus. I finally got to try it and it is amazing!!!! I went during their soft opening so they didn't have their full menu available. But still had plenty of options. I had 2 types of tacos and their buffalo popcorn chicken. The "beef" tacos are the best I have ever even when i was a meat eater. The seasoning is perfection. You could take any meat eater there and they would never know they were eating vegan food. I am not a spicy food eater but the buffalo chicken had great flavor and a kick too. If I lived in Columbus I would live at village taco.
