Yum. Great local find!

We lucked onto this comfortable, cozy eatery in Greenwich Village. Excellent service, friendly staff and an eclectic menu with lots of clearly marked vegan and vegetarian options...including appetizers and desserts! Serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food was fresh and tasty. The vegan Village burger was soooo good and my hubby enjoyed a quinoa and kale salad. And yes, we had cake! Highly recommend.

Pros: Lots of vegan and vegetarian options, Something for everyone, Vegan desserts

Vegan soy nuggets

Hole in the wall vegetarian restaurant. The owner is very nice and I love their vegan soy nuggets! I can eat them for days!

Pros: friendly owners, delicious nuggets

Clean, healthy, with lots of vegan options

This was a good choice when having dinner with an omni friend. There were loads of vegan options!
Found the food to be fairly simple, but I was looking for something clean and healthy so was satisfied with it.

It was quiet on Saturday night, and I found it strange they seemed to be trying to close up around 9.30pm.

Rude workers

I tried going to Village Natual 15 minutes before they were supposed to close on a Thursday night. The girl working inside looked up when I reached the door, then proceeded to ignore me. I know people want to go home, but when a restaurant says it's open until a certain time it's not fair to customers when they close early. The fact that the girl didn't even apologize or acknowledge me makes matters worse. I was interested in trying their menu but with that rudeness I will NEVER go there, and based on her attitude the service would probably be horrible as well.

Cons: Nasty worker

Great place with lots of options

They have an extensive and tempting menu. About half the menu is vegan. Been here twice whilst in town, first time had a yum bean burger and the second time a warming vegetarian and soy meat stew served with brown rice and brown bread. It was quite spicy but delicious on a chilly day the perfect meal. Lots of seating and reasonable prices.

Pros: Lots of choice, Plenty of seats, Free Wi-Fi

Cons: A couple of fish dishes

Alright

Had an enjoyable meal here. The soy chicken nugget appetiser was good vegan junk food but the main, 'ribs' was a little cold in places and I think that the sauce had honey in it. Other items on the menu listed as vegan had honey as an ingredient, so be sure to ask. Mashed sweet potato was tasty and they serve a nice bottled Wolaver's from Vermont.

Went with a veggie who had the guac burger and said it was great.

Pros: quick service, tasty sides and appetizers, decent beer choices

Cons: honey, not much atmosphere

Village Natural

We went there twice while in NY at the end of our hol touring New Englan. It was a good place to go for one vegan, two vegetarians and an omni. Good value and very tasty food. Most of the menu (apart from the fish dishes) were either vegan or could be veganised. Lots of vegan puds, I had the vegan tiramisu both visits as it was gorgeous the first time and as much so the second.

Pros: Excellent food, Good value, not crowded/noisy

Cons: Could do with a bigger wine menu
