Vieta ❤️ - Edit
Lovely small restaurant offering excellent homemade food.
Read moreMenu is in Lithuanian, but one of the very friendly staff members will patiently and competently expain everything you want to know.
Affordable prices, excellent central location.
The interior is simple, nothing fancy, there’s some room for improvement - the toilet isn’t exactly an oasis of comfort, but everything else more than compensated for that.
By far best food I had in Vilnius.

Cute Little Restaurant with Delicious Food - Edit
I’ve been to Vieta multiple times and always enjoyed my stay there. They have a small menu with dishes that are usually changing on a daily basis, in form of lunch menus.
Read moreThere’s quite a big variation in those menus, I’ve never seen the same dish twice in the times I was there.
The food itself always tasted great, with no exception, and the owner is a super friendly and outgoing person.
One of my favorite places in Lithuania that I unfortunately only discovered in the end of my time there. Don’t make the same mistake and pay that place a visit as soon as you get to Vilnius!😄
Pros: Nice Atmosphere, Delicious Food, Friendly Staff

Probably the best in Vilnius - Edit
Marvellous Lithuanian fare that doesn’t break the bank. If you can only visit one restaurant, I’d plump for Vieta.

I could swear the cabbage soup was just like my grandmother's (who died 30 years ago), I wanted to check the kitchen to see if she wasn't hiding there all these years.

Best vegan cold beet soup, surprised they got the kefir flavor right! We tried everything, and suggest you do the same. Small place and very popular so you might wait a bit. Go!

Filling meal for hours - Edit
Seems like a very popular place for locals. I arrived right when they opened and within 20 minutes all the tables were taken.
Read moreThe beetroot soup was amazing. I would have it again and again.
I also had lentil meatballs. They were a lovely taste and texture.
For dessert I had a blueberry spinach smoothie. It was delicious with a surprisingly heavy blueberry taste. My friend got the strawberry oat smoothie. I really liked the taste of her smoothie. She didn’t have any issues with chunks of oats in the smoothie.
I got the Lithuanian dessert that is chocolate with cookies in it to go. It was ok. Probably wouldn’t get again. I was expected the cookies to have more crunch, but they were a bread consistency. Also, the to go portion seemed small. It was a few pieces broken off and put in a bag.
Even though the portions seemed on the smaller size and I wasn’t completely full when leaving the restaurant, I did not get hungry again for 8 hours. They must use fresh and nutrient ingredients.
Beautiful and inviting atmosphere!

We went for lunch and got the combo deal (one soup and one main). The main dishes were amazing, but the soup dishes were outstanding! The staff were friendly and it was a nice chill vibe. Would love to come back.

Hearty home cooked food - Edit
We loved Vieta because we were able to have some regionally inspired food that tasted as if it was cooked at home. It was delicious and filling. We went there for lunch and opted for the lunch menu, so we both had the soup of the day, which was carrot soup. Then there is a choice of three mains, we had the tofu steak and a vegetable stew. All of this for just 7,50€ each!
Read moreThe place is very popular, so it was loud and a bit crammed, but the food arrived quickly. Although it is not the most relaxing meal if you like a bit of quiet, the whole experience was a rather special one.

Incredible. - Edit
Absolutely beautiful homemade vegan food. Welcoming and warm, my partner and I came out of the frosty weather into a hearty belly-hug meal. Can't fault the experience.
Read moreWe ordered the "cheese" soup and Greek salad for starters which arrived promptly and with excellent friendly service! You can tell everything is fresh. Our next course was the vegan "fish" and chips for my partner, and a chickpea curry rice for myself. Again the food arrived quickly and was delicious! The banana blossom based "fish" is a pretty common sight in vegan restaurants these days but this was by far the best version we've seen.

Delicious - Edit
I just had the most delicious vegan meal here. Carrot soup followed by soya cutlets. Both were amazing. The vegan cutlets came with a root vegetable mash and salad and a sauce that looked like hollandaise. There were 4 choices on the menu. The place is small and quirky. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
