Very good!

Stopped here on our way over to Venice, it’s just outside the city but if you’re passing by or staying in Mestre it’s a great place to grab lunch. The host seemed very passionate and knowledgeable about the food they make and the decor is very nice and inviting even if the location is a bit out of the way. The food was really tasty and you could tell a lot of skill was involved preparing it. The portions were a little bit small but other than that it was a great dining experience.

Not entirely convinced

I had lunch a few times in this restaurant because there is not a big choice of vegan venues in this area. I never felt I enjoyed the meals as much as in other vegan restaurants! The service Is quite cold and I don't perceive great interest or a mission behind this restaurant. Food is ok, wouldn't return.

Cons: Not a wide selection, Service, Position

Good option for not much choice in the area :D

With hardly any vegan options around the outside of Venice we came here. I was pleasantly surprised with how yummy it was. I got the red burger with gluten free bread. The bread and patty were both amazing!! Serving sizes small.. They make pasta with essential oils which I thought was pretty cool.

Pros: Lots of gluten free options, Helpful and friendly staff

Cons: Small serving size, The burger’s didn’t come with chippies

Food for ants ???

The food was delicious but the serving sizes were so disappointing. I expected a lot more for the prices. We shared 3 serves of pasta, 2 bread tapas and a desert between two of us and both left still hungry :-(

worth a visit

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good vegan food. One dish isn't enough for a big hunger but everything is affordable and delicious. I would definitely go there a second time 👍

Friendly, small, tasty

The inside is simply but stylishly decorated, the staff is quite friendly.
It was just a bit disappointing that the "Black Burger with Vegetables" turned out to be a "Black Burger Patty with Vegetables", as in, no bun, no sauce, just the patty wth veggies. It was very delicious and filling, nonetheless, but a bit salty for my taste.

Pros: friendly, kind of near Mestre Station

Cons: misleading name of the "burger"

Nice vegan restaurant

Food is delicious and I really enjoyed that everything is vegan. I ordered black burger and was suprised that it was served without bread. Together with a little bit red cabbage it didn‘t fill me up. My boyfriend ordered red burger and was satisfied with his choice. There are some vegan desserts. We tried panna cotta and the cake of the day. Yummy!
The interior and the atmosphere is awesome. We would visit this place again if we could.

Pros: everything is vegan, vegan desserts, healthy

Cons: not cheap, because the portions are small

Vegans are hungry too!

4 stars only because it is all vegan. It's a small place with big pretence. Arrived there, no welcoming really.. the few tables are not well placed with unconfotable seats. The dishes are a funny material..not ceramic definetely.. The water glasses in plastic are just a no no.
The pasta was nice but not too tasty as you would expect from a carbonara . The cotoletta was ok but I wouldn't call it cotoletta. The torta salata was a little better but again not too good.
The struedel filling is very lovely but the outside was like cardboard ( maybe reheated in microwave?) We travelled the city to go there. I don't think I would travel again sorry.

Pros: Vegan options only Quite fast service

Cons: Small portions, not really friendly, not welcomin

Dear Princi 1996 I am the owner who served at the table everyday for all day. I am sorry to hear you felt not welcome i apology. I will try my best to improve my approach. Unfortunately our chef the other day was not feeling good while she were working on your meal but we could not afford to close business for our client. We were able to make the day through eventually. The funny material of our dishes it is bamboo fiber 100 recycle. Thank you for coming anyway. Best

Good but not great

Since staying in Venice we went on sort of a track to get here. It is a beautiful cozy place but to be honest the food isn't that great. The only reason it gets four stars is because it's fully vegan.

The portions were incredibly small, although pretty inexpensive. And the food was a bit bland. If you're passing by though I highly recommend the spelt sugar cookie. Absolutely delicious!!!

Pros: Inexpensive , Sugarcookies! , Healthy

Cons: Plastic bottles , Small portions

Lifesaver whilst in Venice

I'm just back from a 3 night stay in Venice. I found the vegan options to be quite thin on the ground whilst there. This place was a life saver. We ate here two of the three nights we were away & only didn't eat there on the last night as it closes on Sundays. This place is completely vegan, they do a menu with a selection of starters, mains include wheat & non wheat pasta dishes and other things like their red & black burgers and they also do some excellent deserts. They also do a selection of daily specials, one of the best ones we tried was their spelt & cabbage croquettes with pumpkin sauce. Other highlights we sampled were the spinach ravioli with tomato sauce, penne made with rice, ginger & turmeric with pumpkin, cardamom & toasted almond sauce & the red burger which, according to the menu, was made with quinoa, carrots, beetroot & ginger on a home made spelt bun with avocado sauce, radicchio & caramelised red onion. We also tried a selection of deserts over the two days, including some short cookies with pear & cinnamon or apple & mint jam, a nice chocolate cake & apple strudel.

The venue has a modern interior & is quite small & relaxed. The owner is really helpful & pleasant and the prices were really reasonable for both the food and drinks. We couldn't believe how low the bill was on the first night for what we had had. If you are vegan & staying in or near Venice this place is a must to visit. Also I went there with a non vegan & they loved the food too.

Pros: Great food, Great host, Nice relaxed venue

Friendly atmosphere with amazing cookies

I visited VgOloso often during my stay as it was walking distance from where I was staying.

I had their Spinach Ravioli, Carbonara, Capricci Rice Pasta, Zuchinni with Herbs, Beet & Carrot Sticks, cookies, muffins and a jar cake,

They're very reasonably priced though portions are a little small.

Some of the dish titles maybe a little misleading probably cause of how it was translated into English.

For Example, the "Capricci whole rice curry oasta w artichokes, brocolli and lemon essential oil." contains no actual Broccoli or Artichokes. These vegetables were used in the pasta sauce.

But the food was still tasty.

Their desserts were great. Subtle-ly sweet.

Pros: Friendly staff and owner, Large variety, Nicely priced

Cons: Small portions

Good vegan restaurant

There are many dishes to choose your favorites. Very tasty and not expensive. The owner is very friendly, and give you any explanation you need about the dishes and it's preparation. Some dishes are not prepared at the kitchen, and only warmed and arranged there. You can buy there some spreads in jars.

Pros: Good food, friendly stuff, good value

Cons: Some dishes are only warmed in the kitchen.

Dear Friend, thank you for your post we appreciate it. We'd like to comment on "some dishes are only warmed in the kitchen" : the only dish we are supplied of are the filled pasta ( ravioli & mezzelune ) all the rest are made by us including all types of bread : spelt flour with natural yeast for the burgers and legumes flour sandwich bread. The filled pasta recepies are our own creation made by an an external lab certified organic and vegan on a exclusive base.
Thank you again for choosing our restaurant and we look forward to see you again in future all the best. VgOloso team

erg goed!

Volledig veganistisch! Wel kleine porties, wij hebben allebei nog iets bij moeten bestellen. Gelukkig was het niet duur, de prijs is erg goed.

Top spot in/around Venice!

This was probably my favourite in and around Venice. We went back a couple of days later because we loved it so much! The menu has some slight variations every day, but generally includes a mix of burgers and pasta dishes, priced around €6 each. Two courses is probably best. We tried the seafood tagliatelle, spinach and tomato ravioli, chickpea and hazelnut meatballs, and carbonara - all four dishes were really flavoursome and delicious. The desserts were also excellent, especially the chocolate and cream tart.

The menu is available in both English and Italian, and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful. Highly recommended!

Outstanding !

This was seriously the best vegan dining experience of my life.
The food was incredibly tasty and filing, while still being healthy.
The owner looked after us and our dog with smile and made sure we had everything we needed.
The place itself was lovely, cosy, relaxed, decorated with fresh herbs, there was vegan produce to purchase and magazines to read.
we loved the menu so much we just couldn't choose; every item sounding more delicious than the other. At the end we settled for lentil pasta with walnut sauce and black bean burger with veggies. For dessert we had tiramisu and a huge pear and cinnamon cookie.. Everything was super delicious and very well priced. 10 out of 10.
Thank you so much for such fantastic experience!
cant wait to be back!

Pros: Super tasty food , Lovely interior , Great prices

Cons: Absolutely none
