Delicious cakes - Edit
A few days in Bastia for work, I went three times to VG for breakfast. The staff is extremely kind. This cute little restaurant in the centre of Bastia cannot disappoint you!

I came here for lunch and it was delicious (I had the seitan dish, kombucha and the granola with fruit and yogurt as a dessert).
I asked about the breakfast (for the day after) and it is not not very clear...🤷♀️

Leider enttäuscht - Edit
Kleiner schnuckeliger Laden, in einer sehr unschönen Nachbarschaft. Wenig vegane Gerichte.

Pros: Schöne Räumlichkeiten , Freundliche Bedienung, Es ist bekannt, was vegan bedeutet
Cons: Kaum vegane Optionen, Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis

Welcoming staff - Edit
We did not read carefully that this is not a good place for breakfast. The staff did their best to improvise a vegan breakfast. The menu for lunch was promising.

Le seul endroit veggie à Bastia ! - Edit
J'ai enfin pu aller manger à VG (pas facile puisque c'est ouvert que en semaine à midi). Endroit très mignon, tout est très bon et il y a des options vegans, même des desserts !

Friendly and cozy - Edit
Not a lot of vegan options but the staff was super friendly and accommodating. We had a big bowl of salad with quinoa and bread, and the first time we went they would have also had a vegetable curry with rice that was vegan. The only vegan dessert was chia pudding. Maybe they have more vegan options in the summer, I would definitely go again!

Filling lunch - Edit
We came here for breakfast but they don’t do breakfast out of the summer season so I asked about lunch and we returned after midday. When we returned they pointed out the vegan options for us. We both decided to get the pasta with seitan chunks. There was also carrot and mushrooms and olives in the pasta. This pasta was very good. It was really well coated in sauce and the vegetables were delicious. It was a good sized serving too. The staff were lovely. I also had a raspberry kombucha. We were so full we didn’t ask if the desserts were vegan.

Good bowl - Edit
They have a changing menu.
Read moreWhen I was there 2 out of 4-5 main options were vegan.
I took the bowl which was good, but nothing special and the patty wasn't really tasty. Nevertheless it was nice to have a place where the waitress understood the term vegan.

good quality, but not many vegan options - Edit
a cute deli with freshly prepared dishes.
Read moreThe menu is small, some toast-options with side salad, quiche, omelette and a veggie bowl, which unfortunately is the only vegan option they seem to offer (except for one or two sweet things), at least, when we were there.
Food seems to be high quality and fresh, I enjoyed my bowl.
Prices are typical prices for eating out in France (pricey compared to Germany), maybe even a little below.
The bowl, very filling - even with bread as a side - was 14€, a toast with side salad (not that filling) was 13€.
Imo bowl reasonably priced, toast a little too expensive. But as I mentioned, pretty normal in France.
Staff explained everything in English and brought water for our dog without us asking for it 👍🏾
Pros: Very fresh and good quality
Cons: less vegan options

Delicious, filling vegan food at a great price - Edit
Really nice staff. Very welcoming to me despite having a big backpack and my dog, plus it was a busy Friday lunchtime.
Read moreYou're spoilt with vegan options and I was hungry so went with the courgette and peanut butter sandwich and it was so filling with an awesome delicious salad plus a drink for just €15. That cheap is unheard of on Corsica for such good food. Will definitely return!

Vegan Oasis - Edit
This tiny cafe is one of the very few restaurants that offer vegan options in Bastia. The staff kindly helped us out in English so that we could decide from 2 options that were already vegan or adapt a vegetarian dish. I very much recommend the aubergine toastie & salad.

Lunchtime delights - Edit
We had a delicious vegan tofu quiche with tasty salad. On the side was an incredibly tasty minty hummus with crackers. It was very filling so vegan cheesecake was taken home to our apartment for a late afternoon treat.
