Amazing buffet, lots of choice!

I was unsure how it worked in the beginning, so here’s what you do to give you a heads up:
You just take a plate and put some rice and as many or as little of the many different dishes they have on your plate. Then one or two staff members come to look at your plate and decide how much it will be.

I went twice, and for a medium filled plate payed 35k, then for a very full plate payed 50k. My friend’s sprite was 8k, so all very reasonable.

There are lots of traditional veganised dishes. Mock meats in all shapes - I had vegan shrimp, different tempeh dishes, mushroom ‘meat’, seitan, jackfruit, veggie curries and different soya based ‘meats‘.

Most things are vegan, but there‘s some things with egg - easy to tell though, as it’s usually still in a shell and boiled, or cooked and put on a separate plate.
About 90% of it is vegan though.

Amazing food

Amazing place, the staff is an equip of women working in preparing the food and serving. You can see that it is done with great love and a certain sense of offering. Which makes the experience and the quality of the food quite amazing. The price is so affordable.

Wonderful

Thanks so much Vetran for 2 meals in 1 day! You were our food base in Medan which is surprisingly not too hard a place to be vege/vegan! Really had a great rice buffet, classic nasi pedang style with loads of healthy vegetable dishes and lots of mock meats to choose from so whatever your tastes are looked after! 2 big plates consisting mostly vegetables and a couple mock meat dishes came to approx 50,000IDR. Thanks Vetran for great food!

Pros: Great food, Even had prawn mock dish

Cons: Not great english but welcome to Indonesia!

Good option

Good selection of good value pre cooked food. The usual local options cooked to order also, but the pre cooked stuff better value. It's mostly all good, but must say I was disappointed with the curried potatoes on more than one occasion. Easy to find and convenient to grab some take away (bungkus) before taking the train.

Pros: opening hours. reasonably priced. Location.

Cons: Bit of bahasa indo useful
