One of the best places for organic and vegan groceries

As it's not always easy to find vegan products in regular supermarkets, this place is my go-to store for vegan and organic groceries. Great selection of tofu, tempeh, vegan cheese and a big range of plant-based milk etc.
Attached is also a bakery with some vegan pastries and other treats.

Great porduce

Was looking for some package-free produce and found tasty fruits ad veggies here.
We also got some bread in the discount section, which became dry quite fast but then again that seemed to happen to all Spanish bread.

They also have quite some vegan products on offer both in the store as the coffee corner.

Gorgeous Cafe attached

A really nice space with a bright cafe and lovely service. Lots of labelled Vegetarian and Vegan goodies and a wide range of plant based milks.

Perfect place for a quick cafe stop.

Pros: Lots of vegan sweet treats , Cheap price but good quality products

Cons: A sensitive automatic door (constantly opening)

Great choice !

This supermarket chain is one of the top places I visit maybe even daily basic to get fresh and dry goods. There are many Bio & Organic shop in Barcelona but beware this one is the only one open on a Sunday. So keep that in mind when shopping for your week. It also has the most Devine juice okay it not fresh but it good and for a super affordable price. Love giving them my money & some really friendly staff.

Pros: Some staff., Juice , Fresh fruit & vegetables.

Cons: Only one open on Sunday’s., It does sell meat., I do not live here yet.

Veritas

I stopped by two locations during my trip to Barcelona. Veritas is a really great option for vegan basics, but don’t expect to find extraordinary vegan options, such as fancy vegan cheese. They do have nice produce as well.

Big store, plenty of vegan options

We love a good convenient store to cover all of our vegan needs (not only food-related). I wish they went at least vegetarian, that would be a great improvement!! It's a shame it's a bit expensive with all of the organic stuff

Pros: Lots of vegan stuff

Cons: expensive

Organic store with decent amount of vegan products

Fairly large organic store with decent amount of vegan products on offer. Like seitan, tempeh, plant based drinks, ...

Also fresh fruits and vegs.
Saw one vegan labelled wine among the wines.

Didn't see any vegan labelled items in the bakery counter.

Its not costy!

I disagree with the comments about the price. I think those are standard prices for Organic foods. In Nice and Cannes every price is almost the same. Even in Budapest, but the average wage is around €650!
If you are there, you must try the Horchata de Chufa(Tigernut milk)! Its a super sweet and awesome plant based milk, the very best I've ever had. And it costed €1,35 :) (probably a discount, but i would pay €20 for that too :D )

Pros: Price, Tigernut milk, Friendly english speaking staff, and vegan heaven

Cons: They sell meat and cheese and other stuffs too.

Viva Laietana

Great location just off Jaume I Metro in a really nice part of town just round the corner from Cat Bar, which is how we found it by chance. As has already been documented this place sells typical vegan and vegetarian produce as well as toiletries and cleaning products. The range of faux meats is superb perfect for making sandwiches back at the hotel with which is exactly what we do. Many locations on Barcelona, seek them out and visit.

Good variety of products

This is a non-veg store, but it offers a very good range of healthy and vegan food, they have probably everything you need for a normal week in Barcelona.

everything you need

They gave pretty much everything you need to survive.
Sweets, tofu, saitan, milks, etc.

Unfortunately the staff speaks almost no English at all.

Good

In Veritas organic supermarkets you can find:

- All kind of organic fruit and vegetables.
- Seitan, tofu and other faux-meats: hamburgers, sausages, etc.
- Vegan cheese.
- Different breads, the vegan ones are labelled.
- Drinks: organic beers and wines, juices, plant-based milk, etc.
- Cereals, flours, legumes, dried fruits, snacks, biscuits, chocolates.
- Natural cosmetics.
- Supplements.
- Others: different sauces, desserts, seaweeds, spices, etc.

Warning: This is not a vegetarian store.

The price is a bit expensive compared to other stores in the city, so be sure to check out the offers.

Almond cheese :P

I've spent a lot of money during my only visit to Veritas. I think a lot of products are overpriced.
I liked the grated almond cheese (doesn't melt though) from Veritas on my sandwiches (buns from an ordinary supermarket, avocado, almond cheese, - that's it).
Go get it :)
They also have a good range of fake meats and not expensive rice milk (delish!).
Also try a starchy dessert in small bags (dilute with plant based milk), they offer a nice variety.

Health Food Store

Sells peanut butter, which thrilled my husband who eats it every day.
Large selection of toiletries, so great if you need vegan shampoo, toothpaste, want organic loo roll and so on.
Huge selection of seitan products, also tofu and some tasty vegan empanadas and nice vegan margerine.
Not cheap, but show me a organic supermarket that is.

Pros: well laid out

Cons: bit pricey
