Muy Lindo!

Located in downtown San Jose, the entrance to the place is lighted and you walk up the stairs to the restaurant area/balcony. Decorated with a eco-chic up-cycled vibe, this place felt friendly as soon as we walked in. We sat outside and ordered the Portobello Mushroom burger, Gordita de Queso (which I believe my friend said had no cheese), and I had the Platanachos. When in Costa Rica, one has to get the Platacones and anything similar. We all ate everything on our plates! Good size portions, delicious food, and they had natural juices as well. We didn't have any adult beverages but noticed they had craft beers as well. Recommend checking this place out!

Pros: Welcoming environment and cute decor, Almost all Vegan menu , Location

Pros: Excellent food, Friendly staff, Cute place

Cons: Nada

Very good

The menu is mostly vegan, with only a few dishes containing cheese. Service was a bit slow, but we did visit on a fairly busy night. It seemed very popular and for good reason- the food was very tasty (we had the mushroom spaghetti and a portobello burger) and the bar offers a great range of local and imported craft beers

not so good..,

I found the service to not be so great and the food as well. I will not be going back there, as there are too many good options in San Jose for vegetarian or vegan food.

Now its a (very good) restaurant

So this place used to be a store. But today i arrived around 16.00 and left around 20.00. I had some very good dishes and some "handcraft" beers and everything was really nice. The menu is ample and i it tastes good. Its not excellent, but its very good.

The service is great: fast and very cordial. The owner is a very nice guy willing to talk but also willing to leave you alone if you want.

Pros: Food, Atmosphere

Cons: No mustard or ketchup for the fries?

Nice store

This is store is amazing. Probably the best option in SJ to buy vegan, as all of their products are. Some stuff here you can't find anywhere else.

Update: This place is now a restaurant as well, I have yet to try it.

All vegan boutique market

This little store is adorable and awesome. They have local hand crafted items such as jams, sauces, jewelery, baked goods, and other staple items like organic quinoa, milk alternatives, and coffee.

Okay, let me get to the real reason this place RULES. The cheese. Forget daiya, Chao, or even the fancier stuff, you have to try their vegan cheese. It's AMAZING. It's the best, it reminds me of string cheese, kind of, but better. Take my word for it. This place is mandatory if you are in San Jose.

From what I could tell, they don't have a cafe, just already prepared goods (cupcakes, sandwiches) but they sell the cheese in bulk. Just try it.

The people who work there are cute and nice too.

Pros: Cheese, Cute stuff, Nice people

Cons: Kinda pricey
