Became “our”place - Edit
We are vegans who rented an apartment for a two week stay in Mexico City. When we saw Veguisima on HappyCow, we were thrilled to know there was a vegan place in the very next block. We went nearly every day and ate practically everything on the menu. The Inspiration del Dia was always amazing, the house-made salsas incredible, the presentation was so artistic that I didn’t want to destroy it by eating it, and the people were friendly and kind. They’d often bring us things they were trying out or special items they had made for themselves. Our last night in Mexico City, they said goodbye to us like we were family leaving home. I never had anything from there that wasn’t gorgeous and delicious.

My favorite vegan restaurant in Mexico City - Edit
This place is tiny and run by Mexican hipsters. It is DELICIOUS! It's all Mexican and the specialities include pozole, enchiladas, bowls, etc. The pozole was highly recommended and had a smoky flavor to it. I cannot recommend this more!

Comida decente - Edit
La comida está rica pero nada especial, no hay mucha variedad. Hay distintos guisos cada día.
Read moreEl precio no es tan barato ni tan caro. El lugar es pequeño pero agradable. El servicio es muy bueno, el personal es atento y agradable.

Decent food, kinda pricey. - Edit
The tacos were decent. Not the best but unique. One filling was eggplant. Good. The other, just diced potatoes with spices on a tortilla. Good but not sure if this one was worth the price. The other taco was marinated zuchinni. Interesting but again not sure if the portions justify the cost. Had the quinoa ceviche. That was good and came with avocado. They offered dessert, a strawberry strudel but it had absolutely no flavor.. And was pricey. It's okay if you're in the area. Avoid dessert though. Good service overall.

Fantastic! - Edit
I stumbled upon this place as I was out wandering from my hostel. Although I speak no Spanish, the man behind the counter was able to help me find things to eat. I ate twice here and each time it was amazing. I was very happy to be close to this wonderful place. Everything was tasty and thankfully not very tofu/soy based. Highly recommended.

Fresh, crusty tortas - Edit
Turned up for lunch at 12:30pm but they only had one option ready and said they weren't starting proper lunch until 2pm. We didn't mind though as the option was sauteed red onion, mushroom and orange pepper which we had in tortas. Sandwiches were fresh and crusty and the filling was yum. Very reasonable at only 40 pesos per torta. Unfortunately though they put waaay too much of some kind of veganaise/chipotle type spread in the sandwich which ruined the flavour and texture a bit. Would have preferred the torta without that. Worth dropping by this place for a casual lunch though.

Hole in the wall - Edit
After hearing that there was a new vegan place in my neighbourhood, I ventured out to check it out. Like most vegan taco places in the city, the creative way they put the fillings together always surprises me. In fact this place was no different where I had some interesting combinations to emulate meat but of course without using the fake stuff. This always makes a change. The prices are good and the service is friendly as well.
