The best Chinese! - Edit
This place is so tasty!! It’s the best eggplant I’ve had, super tender and buttery. I can’t wait to come back! Usually lots of street parking.

Great Vegan Chinese!!! - Edit
We really enjoyed our meal and would come back again. Lots to choose from, and everything tasted really fresh. 3 generations were in the restaurant inc. Grandma in the kitchen. We had the potstickers as an appetizer, and they were gone before the pictures were taken. Also had a thai iced tea with soy milk that was delicious. We had the mixed meat pho with rice noodles. A simple amazing flavor. Very clean. Then we got the strung beans and tofu in a spicy garlic sauce and eggplant tofu with basil. All were cooked and presented very nicely. Not greasy, not overwhelming spice and excellent care in all the cooking. Well done.
Read morePros: Great pho. Simply delicious. , Non greasy eggplant where you tasted the basil. , Excellent service.

Delicious, wide selection and huge portions! - Edit
I love that the non vegan (vegetarian) options are labeled as such - oh how I wish for a world where that was the norm. The portions are giant and there are so many choices!! The fried rolls and Vietnamese crepe were packed with flavor and come with lettuce and a real great dipping sauce.

My absolute favorite - Edit
I could literally eat anything on the menu. I think my wife and i have tried every item (that is vegan) and we have not had a bad dish. Special shout out to the dumplings, rolls and thai fried rice! Everything is so good and amazing though, their rice dishes, noodle dishes and soups and clay pots!

100% vegetarian, mostly vegan, mostly tasty (4/5 Green Stars, also). - Edit
Veggie today is pretty casual and brightly lit, so it has more of a café atmosphere than an intimate restaurant. We had four items and thought that two or three of them were good. The foo young appetizer was a highlight – it was large but not as heavy as other versions that I’ve had in the past, and had good flavor and a little crunch. The wonton soup was mixed: good flavor in the soup but maybe too heavy on salt (I was so thirsty after it!) and the wonton wrappers were a bit thick (but the filling was good!). The caramelized vegan chicken had good flavor and a nice chewy texture but the dish could have done with a bit more spinach (to justify being called a “bed of spinach” on the menu). The tamarind beef was our least favorite – it was just too sweet for both of us. But other people seem to love that dish so don’t let me put you off ordering it; perhaps it’s just me – I’ve rarely found a vegan “beef” dish that I love. Vegan chicken (or just good-old tofu) always seems like a better bet. Both of the protein dishes were pretty light on veggies (esp. the tamarind beef) so bear that in mind when ordering. I’d like to go back and discover some favorites.
Read moreI’m also giving Veggies Today 4/5 “green stars” for social and environmental impact, based on these reasons:
• As stated on their menu: 100% vegetarian.
• Almost all items on the menu are vegan (check with your server). The wonton soup is specifically labeled on the menu as not vegan so I think there are only a few dishes that are not vegan.
• As anyone who’s trying to go plant-based knows, restaurants where you can order almost anything on the menu are a blessing for the movement!
• No information about sourcing on the menu (e.g., is the tofu organic?). That’s the main downside for me – I like my tofu to be organic, if possible (rice & veggies too).
• Drinks are provided by Coke (so they could do better there, but they do have tea).
• For people getting take-out, they use standard Chinese take-out boxes and plastic bags (a third area for improvement: compostable boxes and paper bags).

Pros: 100% vegetarian, Mostly vegan also, Some tasty dishes
Cons: No info on sourcing - is their tofu organic?

My partner an I had a nice meal here. The food was reasonably priced and tasted great. The staff were friendly and attentive. We will be back. The menu is almost entirely vegan. The missing star is because they include egg in several of their dishes.

Try the shrimp - Edit
Wow. Menu reads like a normal meat-eating place. But all the "meat" is vegan. My favorite is salt & pepper shrimp. Crispy crust, delicious sauce. I found a source for their "shrimp," now I want to learn how to duplicate their recipe. I hear the crust is flour & potato starch.

Excellent food, nearly all vegan - Edit
I adore this restaurant! The egg rolls are my favorite anywhere. I always get three orders of them for the two of us. All the flavors, portions, and variety win out, imo, over other restaurants serving the same cuisine (curries, clay bowls, fried rice platters etc). Very friendly and clean atmosphere. One of my go-to vegan lunch and dinner spots.

I love this restaurant. They're fast, friendly, serve delicious food and parking is usually available in front. My husband is a meat eater and he loves coming with me to this family owned restaurant. Our favorites include the chicken drumsticks, salt and pepper shrimp, pho and Thai iced tea (they offer soy milk).
