The best vegetarian restaurant - Edit
The best vegetarian restaurant in the whole city. We've tried a few veggie options, but this one is by far the best. You get a portion of rice and can choose from three different vegetarian options. There are always different ones and they all taste delicious. You don't have to wait and you always get a seat. Highly recommended.

Affordable veggie mall buffet - Edit
Don't try to navigate there through this app because it's actually on the other side of the river on the second floor of the mall. Can't really comment on how helpful staff were because they spoke minimal English (not holding that against them - we're in Malaysia after all). All of it was vegetarian and there were lots dishes that didn't appear to have any egg/dairy/honey. Cost 7 ringgits. Food was tasty but not warm. Worth it for the price.

Generous portions and friendly staff - Edit
I grabbed dinner around 7:15 pm here and there was still a decent number of dishes left to choose from for economy rice. Staff don’t speak English but are friendly and helped me select a seat in the food court and carry all my dishes to the seat. The chilli sauce is delicious and very vinegary (or maybe they added a lot of calamansi - very citrusy!).

It is a buffet style which has both vegan an vegetarian options. It is a bit difficult to find out what is vegan and what is not, the staff is rather uninterested. The price is a bit higher than to similar buffets, but it does have a good location. Most of the food is not warm and when wr arrived at 18:30 they were already out of a lot of it

Great little lunch time buffet in a large mall. We headed around lunchtime and they had everything to choose from. They have lots of dishes to choose from or you can have their buffet style lunch (3 dishes and white rice for 7ringit or brown right for 8ringit - comes with optional soup). I went for brown rice and 3 buffet dishes, as I haven’t had a chance to eat brown rice in Malaysia. It was delicious!

Staff being unhelpful in pointing out vegan dishes :S - Edit
The only vegetarian stall in Imago shopping mall KK food court. There is no clear indication of dishes that are vegan. The staff didn't seem to understand the difference between vegan & vegetarian.
Read moreI nicely asked them any of the dishes contain egg/dairy (giving examples of milk, butter margarine)/honey/types of sugar. The staff didn't even bother to answer and simply told me all dishes contain no egg or dairy. I understand from the reviewers that most of the dishes are not vegan, I am shocked they were unwilling to help or simply inform the dishes are vegan.
The most ridiculous part when the person at the counter told me all dishes contain no egg, I obviously saw one of the tray with chicken/duck eggs.

First of all this is one of the few places you can get brown rice (1MYR extra). There are all sorts of high protein foods like tempeh, tofu, and mock meats. Buffet or a la cart options.

Read moreThere is a nice selection of local meals like nasi goreng and also thai style ones. They all occur in different combinations of addition of "fake" meats including fish and prawn or just plain version with veggies. For those who look for meat-like dishes the fake ham was extremely close to original taste and smell.
Mee soup was reeealy good :)
Definitely a great place to attract usual meat eaters to try sth vegetarian.

7rm for a big plate of rice and 3 dishes. Was fantastic. A lot of places have maonly mock meat dishes but this was mainly vege dishes.They had around 14 or so dishes to pick from - I was here quite late so they may have more during the day. Will definitely come back.

They were not yet serving the al la carte options when I arrived (around midday on a Sunday), and although the vegan options were not marked, the server was happy to point out all of the dishes that didn't contain any egg/dairy (there were plenty) from the selection of 20 dishes available. The standard 3 dishes rice soup is RM6.90, but when they offered a choice of brown or white rice, I was more than happy to pay the extra 0.60 for brown rice! I wish more mixed rice stalls had this option! The rice portion was really generous, and the veg dishes I tried were all really tasty.

Best vegetarian Bolognaise - Edit
This place doesn't look like much on the first glance, but the food is actually really nice and affordable. They serve mainly asian dishes, but I would recommend the spaghetti, their one western dish. I haven't had such a tasty vegetarian bolognaise in a very long time, especially not in Asia! Simply delicious :)
