Amazing Vegan Bowls

We got the soy meat bowl and the burrito bowl. Both fantastic! Also got a tasty smoothie.

Cons: Small menu

Best coffee ever

If you go here have the mojito soy latte. Amazing.

Also had an amazing burger. Super tasty. The owner was friendly too. Very good English. I got the impression he'd lived in the West and his service reflects that. Don't expect to be fawned over, just friendly enough, efficient service.

Pros: Everything

Cons: Nothing

Very tasty, possibly too small portions

Very tasty and average prices (if maybe just above average), but we could've done with a larger portion size

Pros: Vegan, tasty, healthy

Cons: Slightly too small portions

Really tasty but...

So the food is delicious (and I mean really tasty) and being in an all vegan establishment is always a treat. But the portions are so small and quite expensive for what you get. I had 2 bowls (1 of each of their 2 options) and I could have had 4. It cost me something like £25 (including a dessert). On top of this the owner/only member of staff there is very rude. He just isn’t welcoming and made me feel super uncomfortable asking for anything. Definitely not someone who should be working with customers although maybe he was just having a really bad day.

I’d recommend going because we need to support the vegan options in Japan as they are scarce but don’t expect a big cheap meal and don’t expect good service.

Pros: Tasty, All vegan

Cons: Expensive, Small portions, Rude staff

Good food

I had their burrito bowl and I enjoyed it. I’m glad this place was open as other places listed as vegetarian-friendly near Beppu station weren’t.

Pros: Plant-based, Casual, Decent pricing

Cons: Menu items limited

Delicious burrito bowls, friendly English-speaking owner!

Brand spanking new, totally vegan eatery located within a stone's throw from Beppu Station. As far as I am aware this vegan eatery is the first of its kind in Beppu! The space has a hip, relaxed and young energy to it. Enjoy delicious vegan burrito bowls (set meal option includes soup and drink), and yummy vegan treats (baked goodies!) with your choice of tea (a variety of organic teas are available!). Please check them out and give them lots of business. ^_^ Food served here is delicious, satisfying and guilt-free!!

Best All Natural Restaurant in Oita!

Great tasting Mexican style Food! Tako (owner) is a Japanese who lived in California for 16 years. An expert on veganism. Be sure to pair a refreshing Acai Smoothie with some burrito bowls.

Pros: Tastes Great, Next to JR station, Owner understands veganism & allergies.

Chill, nice vibe & tasty

It's about 3~4mins walk from Beppu station. It gives off a chill vibe once you get in. There are 2 dishes and a few drinks on the menu. I ordered the burrito something something (I don't remember the exact name). The menu is in English, so don't worry. I found the portion perfect for me, loved how it tasted. The manager is a chill guy, you'll definitely have good conversations with him in English or Japanese. Time honestly flies by so fast when you're eating at veggie joint.

Vegan gem of Beppu

Very delicious burrito bowls, although a little bit small, and a very interesting and kind owner, Taka. Speaks great English! We tried everything in the menu, and it was all very good! Highly recommend if you’re in Beppu

Perfect

Yeah, this is the only vegan place in Beppu. But that’s not the only reason to come here. The space feels very welcoming and as a result makes you want to stick around, unlike everywhere else which is pretty much in-and-out (regardless of whether you speak Japanese or not). Taka is an incredible host and we’ve spent hours chatting the time away. Besides that, the food is really delicious, and everything including the beer is very well priced.

Pros: 100% vegan, Tasty, Good conversation

delicious

I took the burrito bowl and it was great. Being a vegetarian, eating in Japan isn't easy, so I was very happy with the place. Nice owner, we had a nice chat about traveling.

Delicious Vegan food in Beppu!

This place is a must visit if you find yourself in or near Beppu. We sampled pretty much the whole menu, including both of the burrito bowls, the chips and chilly, the soup and the brownies. All of it was absolutely delicious and full of flavour! The owner is really friendly and speaks great English, we had a nice time chatting to him. Very reasonably priced too!

Absolute Gem!

Small, funky, one-of-a-kind restaurant with delicious bowls, homemade desserts, and organic tea selection. Perfect place to stop in for lunch or dinner or even just to enjoy a tea/snack and read a book. Excellent atmosphere and extremely friendly and knowledgeable owners. Small blankets under the table are an adorable touch! We will definitely be back.

Best thing in Beppu

I had the burrito bowl and a side of nachos which were both delicious and filling. Exactly what I needed.

Owner spent a few years in California which means his English is great, he knows his Mexican food, and he’s onto it when it comes to veganism. Also just a great guy to chat to.

Highly recommend.

Go there, you won’t regret it!

This place offers a very great experience. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, the owner is very nice and friendly and the food is a dream.

We had diner over there and ordered a set consisting of burrito bowl with chili sin carne and nachos. While the dish itself is clearly inspired by Mexican food, it is composed and prepared with all the detail of traditional Japanese cuisine.

Definitely worth a visit!

Pros: Nice atmosphere, Friendly owner who speaks English, Delicious food

Fabulous organic vegan food

We were surprised to find a vegan restaurant in Beppu, and over the moon to find it served wonderfully tasty, organic vegan burrito/Buddha bowls. The first night we had a chilli burrito bowl - which was lovely: the following night we returned and Takashi had put together a wonderful salad and a buddha bowl with a bean patty (especially for us,) which was outstanding! We also had a lovely glass of white wine and a scrumptious glass, or two, of saki. This gem of a restaurant tucked away in the side streets of Beppu, within walking distance of the station is not to be missed. We highly recommend a visit.

Pros: Wonderful, fresh, organic vegan food. Great atmosp

Cons: None
