Chinese food restaurant, re-opened in Feb 2014 near Northwood Hills tube station; moved from 123 Headstone Road, Harrow. Uses onion and garlic, so specify if you don't want that. Shut down in 2014 and replaced by non-veg Vietnamese eatery.

Delicious - a satisfying feed! - Edit
For years I wanted to go here but never found a reason to visit Harrow. I finally did; meeting some (omnivorous) friends for a movie and a meal. I suggested we go to Veggie Inn and I'm glad I did!
Read moreWe ordered two portions of a mixed veggie starter, which came with mini spring rolls, dumplings, mock chicken satay, veggie spare ribs and sesame prawn on toast. This serving was enough for three; it was freshly cooked, flavourful and light. We then shared a veg chicken curry pot (ample vegetables as well as soy chicken chunks), satay bean curd (deep fried variety - very tasty - plus it came with crunchy bean sprouts), Szechuan sizzling veggie beef (the 'meat' was a little tough on the teeth and the portion a little small, but overall the sauce was nice, and came with baby corn and quite a few different veggies) and Chinese-style mixed vegetables (nothing exciting).
All in all, it was surprisingly fresh, and my non-veggie friends said the satay really did taste like meat... but don't let that put you off because we all know that chicken really does taste like everything and nothing! There are plenty of non-mock-meat options but I do encourage you to try the mock meat because they don't overpower the meals and add a bit of tang to them.
The place is totally vegan and they don't use the supposedly 'impure' onions or garlic. You could never tell! Thoroughly recommended especially if you're in the area. Much better than the vegan buffet places but pricier
Pros: Clean atmosphere, Substantial, tasty menu, All vegan
Cons: Out of central London, A little pricey, Small restaurant

I like this next line -
Read more"We do not use eggs or dairy products in any of the dishes."
Cow friendly perfection!
Plenty of mock meats but enough vegetable dishes to satisfy me.
Addictive food!
Garlic & onion free also.
Wow!

Best Veggie Chinese Ever - Edit
Really fantastic. This is probably my favourite restaurant in the whole world and a really good place to take meat eaters to as well, I haven't had one non-veggie guest who didn't like it yet. They aren't licensed (off license next door) if that is an issue. They do takeaway as well. I've eaten at a few places using meat substitutes but nothing comes close to this. Its Chinese, but there are Malaysian dishes as well (the Lamb Rendang is wonderful). I am not sure I could list my favourites, but I will give it a go -Mango Veggie Spare Ribs (a chinese friend said these are amazingly like pork), Salt and Pepper Beancurd, XO Asparagus, Satay Chicken (this is probably the closest thing to meat out there.. )... I could go on and on..
Read moreIf one isn't into meat substitutes, there is still tonnes on the menu, so don't let that put you off.
The food is very quick to arrive. Sometimes they are rushed off their feet, since its a small restaurant and some days everyone in harrow seems to turn up. It can be sometimes be hard to find parking nearby there are a few spaces outside, but its only a ten minute walk from Harrow-on-the-Hill tube station.
They also do takeaway. if you don't finish food they are happy to give it to you in boxes to take away (in fact, they suggested it the first time!). It all tastes great reheated, although certain things are not as crispy of course (perhaps you could do them in the oven, but that takes patience..).
the bill can mount up if you go -really- crazy trying things out though, but being able to take it home for family members and tomorrow's lunch does take the edge off.
currently closed on tuesdays, I believe but check by phone if you are coming a long way.
Pros: vegan , can take away leftovers

Amazing Chinese food - Edit
I LOVE this place and journey from Brixton all the way to Harrow to sample this fantastic restaurant's Chinese Veggie style menu.
Read moreAll vegan and with a stunning array of mock meats, you could have a different meal every time for a year and still not have sampled all the dishes on the menu. The owners are so helpful and kind and greet us with hugs and smiles when we arrive. There are too many favourites to list here but the Mango Veggie Ribs and Sizzling Fillet Steak are up there as the food dreams are made of!
The portions are huge and the prices small making this a really great place to eat.
Pros: mock meat heaven, huge portions, super friendly owners

Fantastic, tasty, spoilt for choice! - Edit
This restaurant is for certain one of the best in London that we've tried - for Oriental vegan food that is. It's located in Harrow and is quite easy to find, with the restaurant itself being small, quaint and cosy. The family who run it are Bhuddists and their friendliness and warmth is very inviting indeed. The menu is incredibly diverse, with practically every mock meat alternative you can think of, and none of it containing any dairy or eggs. They also do ultra fresh fruit juices, but do not serve alcohol - you may however bring your own. The portions are large, the food is tasty, and all round, it's well worth the visit.
