Flavourful Fare - Edit
Can’t see from the street as it’s located in a courtyard so a bit challenging to find. At server’s recommendation I ordered the dumplings (just okay), the chilli eggplant (good), and the mushroom house faux chicken (good not great). With a sparkling water it came to $54 USD. Thus a bit pricey but portions were decent.

Vegan Chinese - Edit
Excellent food and variety. I got the Beef and Broccoli (which used to be one of my favorite Chinese dishes before going vegetarian) and it was exactly what I wanted it to be. Big portions so I was able to take leftovers home. Expensive, but probably on par for vegan food in the city. Would recommend and revisit!

Great all veggie/vegan Chinese food - Edit
Great location off the red line in Chinatown. The whole restaurant is all vegetarian/vegan, and you place your order on an iPad at the table, so it’s very casual. We tried the buffalo tempura cauliflower, the veggie dumplings, the eggplant entree, and the salt and pepper tempura pumpkin entree. Everything was delicious. The eggplant could have used a bit more seasoning, and the pumpkin breading was great but felt like it needed a sauce or something so you could eat it with the rice as served.

A must try - Edit
The food was great. You order with an iPad. We got noodles and kung fao tofu. Both were delicious. The kung fao tofu was definitely spicy.

Love - Edit
We loved Veggie House. We had the spicy vegetable dumplings, Mongolian Beef and Korean Noodles. All three dishes were delicious. They have a patio out front which is dog friendly.

It was not bad, but also not very good. - Edit
The dishes were big but not exceptional in any way. The eegrolls were still frozen from the inside. The Tiramisu dessert was nice.

Just Okay - Edit
First, I like trying the fries from different places, but $6.50 for a handful of undercooked fries was just annoying. Second, the broccoli and beef I ordered was lacking in so much flavor. The portions for the entree and accompanying rice were good, but I don’t think I’ll be going back. Urban Vegan and Vegan Plate have similar menus and prices, but their food is much better even if the drive is a tad longer.

Delicious dinner - Edit
We had 3 things -- orange tofu appetizer, kung pao "chicken", and three cup mushroom (that's not exactly the name, but it's close). All were delicious, love an all veggie/ mostly vegan restaurant in Chinatown!

Best food in Chicago - Edit
Every dish I tried was amazing. The biggest standout for me was the soybeef and the sweet and sour sauce (separate items). It's located right in the center of Chinatown, and almost the entire menu is fully vegan. The items that contain animal products are very clear. And the service is prompt, handled mostly though an iPad given to you at the table.

Amazing - Edit
I bought a whole bunch because I was super hungry and then took it on the train back to the hotel about 30 minutes after ordering.

And even while mostly cold and being trekked across Chicago, the food is the best we've had in Chicago.
Gotta try it.
It also marks non-vegan options rather than the other way around, so much safer for allergen concerns.
Pros: Food is amazing even while cold, Service was fast and very polite., Definitely got my money's worth
Cons: There isn't one in Omaha , Not enough advertising for them, It wasn't packed like it deserves to be

good food - Edit
We really enjoyed our food here, even though it wasn't easy to choose, because at first sight it wasn't obvious what food is or isn't vegan.

Lovely vegetarian hen in Chinatown. It's very obvious what isn't vegan (most things are), the food is simple and yet delicious and fairly priced. Will definitely come back to try more of the menu.

Big love for Veggie House - Edit
If you are in or near Chinatown don't miss out on Veggie House!
Read moreWe got take away and ate it in Ping Tom Park. The orange tofu appetizer was so delicious. The tofu was crispy on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside. The pot stickers were crispy and had scrumptious filling. The Singapore noodles were tasty. I'm not sure what the mock crab meat and mock bbq pork were made out of. Maybe tofu? The sesame balls were really good too. The toasted sesame seeds were a nice touch.
We will definitely come here again next time we're in Chicago!
Pros: Delicious , Most items are vegan, Dishes containing dairy or egg are clearly labeled

Pretty good! - Edit
I love Chinese food, so it’s great to have a place in Chinatown with lots and lots of options for us veggie folk.
Read moreI got the spicy dumplings and the Taiwan noodles. Both were good, dumplings were not super spicy but had good flavor. The noodles were yummy and I really liked the marinated tofu in them.
My only complaint is that the dumplings came out lukewarm. They still tasted good, but would’ve been much better if they were nice and hot. Overall, a good spot though and I will definitely try them again.
Pros: Lots of options, Good flavor
Cons: Lukewarm food, A little pricey for what it is

Good food. Reasonable price - Edit
All vegetarian, mostly vegan restaurant in Chinatown. Everything can have tofu. We had curry vegetables and tofu which was wonderfully spiced and full of fresh veggies and tofu. Also had eggplant dish with tofu. That sauce was nice and the eggplant well cooked. Had frozen veggies in it which was a little turnoff. Up charge for brown rice.

I’ve had Veggie House both dine in and take out. In both cases the food is fantastic (though I always ask for extra veggies!) The restaurant is small and nothing fancy, but always great 👍

Got takeout twice and thought it was just alright as a vegan option in the area. Then I stopped in one day this winter and learned that this place makes incredible food and I was completely mistaken! I can't wait to come back!
