Delicious! - Edit
I come here all the time because everything is great! The menu gets updated every so often so its nice to have something new to try. My favorite is the All Hail Kale and sweet potato fries. Veggie Grill is also appealing to omnivores which shows how great it is. The staff are very helpful/friendly and the restaurant itself is very nice. Great place to grab a healthy lunch!

A staple vegan go to… - Edit
I go here when I just want to grab something to eat and not think too hard. They have a wide variety of salads, sandwiches and bowls. They also serve Mexican food through the ‘Más Veggies Vegan Taqueria’ menu. Most of the things I’ve tried from this chain have been delicious and satisfying.
Read more08/01/23: Tried the Huevos Rancheros Bowl with the YoEgg today. I’ve always been impressed with the runny egg, but I have to admit this bowl fell a bit short with regard to taste. I thought the salsa sauce was way too sour and lacking in terms of “meatiness”. Maybe the addition of one of their mock meats would improve it. Still looking forward to trying the other YoEgg dishes though.

Pretty Spectacular - Edit
Lots of different food items here. I ended up going with the Far East Bowl which has sesame coated Chik'n with rice, garlic broccoli (I couldn't taste much garlic), a Thai coconut sauce, something that resembled cheese (I still don't know what that was...). That plate was pretty good sized. Then I ordered balsamic brussel sprouts and a small order of sweet potato fries. The guy at the register sold me on a fountain drink for 50¢ more and told me since it was my first time in there to grab a bag with 3 chocolate chip cookies in it for free. I thought that was pretty sweet to just treat new customers in that way. They only had 3 choices (well 4 including water) for drinks: lemonade, iced tea, and strawberry lemonade. I went with the strawberry lemonade and it was by far the best strawberry lemonade I've ever had. It tasted like it was made with real strawberries. I drank way too much of it! All in all, great restaurant with a great vibe and great food. I spent about $27 on all that too but got plenty full.

With a fair price, here you can try a lot of good options of plant-based food but, here's the advice: the nachos are awesome and the burritos feed a lot 💚

Great chain, bad location - Edit
When this location first opened, I was there multiple times a week; it is 10 minutes from both my house and office. The food was consistent and tasty if not groundbreaking. Over the past few years, it seems like this location in particular has devolved into a mismanaged (or even *unmanaged*) red-headed stepchild of the chain. Other locations are markedly better at everything — service, food quality, presentation.
Read moreI’ve had to complain either to the “manager” or corporate about one in every three visits now; it would be more but I’m just exhausted and want my food.
One time an employee with an actively bleeding wound on his hand served us food. More often, the food is either prepared wrong or served cold. The employees are barely functional and the kitchen staff visibly bristles when things are sent back. I’ve had to move my business lunches elsewhere due to the consistently poor service and quality.
I still punish myself by eating here every couple weeks because it’s the only 100% vegan option in the area.
Pros: Everything is vegan, Seasonal menus, Good variety of dishes (not just burgers)
Cons: This location sucks, Expect surly or inept service, Your order will most likely be wrong

gross - Edit
When veggie grill first opened the food was delicious and prepared with care. Over the last several years the chain has deteriorated into low quality poorly prepared chain giving vegan food a bad name. The food is regularly cold and soggy and continuously disappoints with each new seasonal menu launch.
Read morePros: they are everywhere and 100% vegan
Cons: charge high prices for low food quality. , regularly forgets special requests , Forgets sauces and salad dressing on to go orders

Best buffalo wings - Edit
We can’t eat here without ordering the buffalo wings. Mac and cheese is always spotty- sometimes it’s good, often it’s bad. Bulgogi bowl is a new favorite.

A South Bay beacon of veganism - Edit
Always good food here. My family and I have worked our way through most of the menu with only the best things to say about it. It gets pretty packed during lunch time, for good reason, so we often take our food to go. Another reviewer complained about VG going downhill and having soggy food, and while they may have had a poor experience, that was an absolute anomaly. Great food 99.9% of the time. Every season they change up some of the menu items to keep it fresh too.

McDonald's of vegan food - Edit
I'm conflicted about veggie grill. All the food I've had here except the French fries are really yummy. But if you check out the amount of sodium they are using in the vast majority of their food - not sure they can really claim it as healthy - it's healthier than McDs for sure. I eat here very sparingly because of this and when I am craving not healthy food. Now for French fries - multiple times ordered them "extra crispy", each time I get 1/3 adequately cooked, 1/3 soggy and limp, 1/3 under cooked. No idea how they manage that combo.
Read morePros: Yummy vegan healthier junk food, Good service, Convinient

Delicious and Great Space - Edit
I had read about this place on happycow, and here's my The Veggie Grill review.
Read moreCame here for lunch during their grand opening weekend, March 2011, and have since dined at a few of their other locations in the So.Cal area. This is the 6th Veggie Grill location.
I particularly like the space here in Torrance. It's located in a large shopping plaza (there's Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, AMC movies, lots of other restaurants and stores). So parking is easy. And the outdoor patio is huge. The overall design of the space is in-line with all the other Veggie Grill restaurants.
I've had just about everything on the menu already except for the Portabello mushroom burger, so that's what I got. Plus a side of kale salad (lightly steamed with a miso ginger tasting dressing). The burger was so yummy, and I was really hungry, too. I also had a bowl of the soup of the day which was veggie chicken noodle soup. Served nice and hot with 2 pieces of seasoned crackers, it was so delicious, too.
My husband had his usual favorite - the Santa Fe chickn burger (battered fried pattie) with a side of quino + green salad. We shared the battered fried chickn fingers served with ketchup and ranch dressing. YUM!
The Veggie Grill concept is a hit. Consistent good food and streamlined decor and menu. Highly recommended when in the area.
Pros: streamline concept, delicious, good service

Nice for a healthy supper - Edit
I went there in August 2011 and was surprise to see that veggie burgers can be so delicious. The Chipotle was my favorite. I ended up going there twice. Although the burgers are a bit pricy, it was a nice meal. Will definitely recommend.
