Great for a quick, take-away Chinese lunch in Admiralty - Edit
I have worked in this area for 10 years and have been coming here regularly for take-away lunch (there is no seating). You can choose from white or mixed rice. They usually have one or two Chinese veggie stews and one green vegetable dish (gai lan, choy sum or bok choy). They also have pieces of texturised soya/mock meat in various forms that you can add, if you want. This is like home cooked food. I prefer some stews over others.
Read moreIt is cheap (usually between HKD 40-50, depending on how much you eat); vegan (double check the noodles); the people that work here speak English, and are super kind and well-natured; quick; and relatively healthy (I never feel heavy after eating here and you can choose to have more or less veg). They use styrofoam containers but you can bring your own reusable container and you save a dollar for doing so.
They start serving from around 11.30am. Best to arrive before 1.30pm when they start to run out of mains.
Queue is longer on the two Buddhist vegetarian days of the month.
It can be tricky to find this place. If you get lost, ask at one of the desks and they will point you in the right direction.

Read moreWe came here at lunchtime and were presented with a rich choice of fake meat, tofu, rice, noodles and vegs which were, according to the nice lady behind the counter, all vegan.
Rice dish was priced 32 HKD. The noodle dish, so the lady told us, was "a bit expensive", at 36 HKD.
Another noodles box sized "big" and additional vegan ham set us back another 40 dollars but all in all we were billed 105.
Great taste and we all got filled up well.
Very recommendable!

Read moreToday I went at 11.45 am and there was no queue at all. I asked for medium steam rice and then chose the main dish of the day. Today it was a potato stew, which was very tasty. I added some greens and a piece of tofu.
The quantity was good and filling and today I paid just 37 HK dollars.
I have never paid more than 40 dollars and find the value of this little place to be very good.
The staff speak English, so there is no problem in ordering and basically there are only a couple of choices, plus the tofu choice, which means everything is simple and clear.
I guess it could be a bit tricky to find if you don't know where it is, but there are desks with friendly guards in the area who will point anyone in the right direction.
I am giving this little place 5 stars because of its value, in a pricey part of HK and because the food is good and the staff are lovely.
Pros: Fabulous value, Nice, friendly staff, Almost always, a tasty meal

I grabbed lunch from here a couple of weeks ago. It's a small take away only place. I was there around 11.45 and from the way they seemed to be gearing up I got the impression they were expecting to be busy. I asked what to avoid re milk products, egg produce and honey. I was given the all clear on them all including the noodles being egg free (yee ha).
I walked away with a ton of food (enough to cover lunch and evening meal). The lady said to me it was 73 bucks but knocked it down to 70. I offered 80 and said to keep the change. They wouldn't accept the tip unless I put it into the charity jar that they have. Absolute class.
I'd be delighted to eat from here again.

Came here today at about 11 15. Not much choice on offer as they were still preparing for the lunch but for 32 dollars,I got heaps of rice noodle with veg and tofu and broccoli greens..good value and I was filled and it tasted great
