Super affordable - Edit
The food here is pretty nice and amazingly affordable. Great to have the buffet style method of choosing your food and the variety of options is good. I remember trying the 'prawn toast' which was a nice substitute to have again after so long.

They have delicious food some include fried rice, tofu and vegetables. Prices are super affordable and you are given generous amounts of food. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this restaurant and would suggest to others.

You're not getting a fine dining experience here, you're in a food court and the food is cheap, less than $10 for a huge serving. The food is very good for the price, especially if you like salty, saucy food with fake meat

Read moreI reached out to the owner before I wrote this review but they did not do much about the issue which was more upsetting. They basically just tried to say “no our veg fresh” when I had pictures to prove that it wasn’t.
Not a place I would recommend to my fellow vegetarian / vegan friends.

It always really annoys me, when places just don't follow the hours that they advertise. seems to happen all the time. The place is in a fairly depressing food court as it is.

I arrived at 3.15pm and they were packing away and had almost no food left. They had whatever they had left and put it in takeaway containers and was selling it for $5 (which is at least one good thing). It was lukewarm and there was hardly any mock meat in what was supposed to be a mock chicken dish.
Disappointing that I could not try the things i had been looking forward to and just got scraps, even though arrived 45 mins prior to their advertised closing. I get it, if its just minutes before, but either they are open, or they are not and not something in between. or change the hours on their site, so people don't go out of their way for nothing.
Cons: Closes early when shouldnt.

I was happy to come upon this place, however I ended up walking away without being able to eat. The dish I ordered came with optional "V-pork", about which there were several notices that it contained gluten, and that if it was wanted, to ask for it. However, this was added to my dish without me asking, and as I am gluten-free, I asked that they remake it without the V-pork. The person got aggressive and said things like "but it's vegetarian anyway", "it's not meat, don't you know we have no meat" and eventually offered only to take it out "which is the same thing". I was very disappointed but I also felt that I then couldn't be sure what I would be receiving, and that I was not being listened to about my needs.

There were many dishes to choose from. I had savoury rice with green beans and mushrooms, mixed veggies and tofu and black pepper. Was worth each bite. Got the Happy Cow sticker.

I was looking forward to trying this but was sadly disappointed. While waiting I witnessed staff in the kitchen whacking a bag of frozen vegetables on the floor, and probably should have left then.

All the food was barely warm and it did concern me that it had been sitting in the Bain-Marie at that temperature. Later in the day my husband informed me that he had found two hairs in his meal.

Have been here many times. The quality of the food varies, sometimes it's great and other times it's terrible. For the sizes you get it is quite expensive. The majority of staff are friendly, but quite often you have to drive there to order a takeaway because they often don't answer the phone.

This place offers a lot of mock-meat choices and a lot of them come in a very heavy sugary sauce however if you choose carefully there are some great fresh things on the menu. I wouldn't say it's my favourite but it's good..

How much you would enjoy this place I think is quite dependent on the type of food that you enjoy eating. For me it was ok but really not the sort of thing I enjoy. For thos of you who live in Adelaide it is quite "Gouger St" in terms of the dishes being heavy on sauce and quite often having fillers like onion and potato thrown in because it is cheap.

Best Chinese in Adelaide - Edit
I may be biased as Vegetarian Delight is my favourite Chinese resaturant in Adelaide (maybe ever!) but I think the food here is amazing and can't imagine how anyone couldn't love it. They do a lot of "mock meat" for any ethical veggies who miss the old tastes, and after eating it you can't understand why anyone still kills animals and eats their dead bodies when the cruelty-free alterantives are so delicious! But for the more traditional veggie there's plenty of noodle-style dishes with mixed veg in various sauces. The menu is huge and it's very affordable and the staff are extremely helpful. Not entirely vegan but over 80% of the menu is. Highly reccommended.

Only 5ish minutes from the middle of the city. Serves mostly mock meat dishes. Large menu and it's all delicious!!! The steamed dim sims are awesome. Very affordable and great service!!
