Nice, cheap food - Edit
This place is a more typical south east asian eatery, providing home cooked food at a cheap price without frivolities. The host spoke a little english and offered me a mixed language menu as the buffet options were already empty. The food was large and filling. Most dishes about 7,000 per dish.

Nice Lunch Buffet - Edit
There was a large variety of vegan foods in the buffet, and the price was amazingly cheap! No English, so I used the attached picture to make sure which dishes were vegan. I’d definitely go again for a yummy and affordable Khmer lunch! Make sure you go early enough before the food runs out! It can be tricky to find the storefront.

No English no food - Edit
We went at 5 and there was no one who spoke English. No food on the buffet and the menu did not look convincing. A lot of options had oyster sauce. Not sure if this even is a veggie resturant

Cheap and decent buffet - Edit
My partner and her (Western) coworkers ate lunch here every day. Everything IS vegetarian, though you probably won’t be able to tell or ask what is vegan. There is no English. Just point to what you want. Every day there is a selection of soup, veggies, and fake meats. Mostly Asian dishes. Great for people who like to eat a small amount of a variety of things. Expect to spend $1-$3. (Usually 1000-2000 riel per item)

Simple and economical - Edit
Owner is Taiwanese, so their Taiwan-style noodles are spot-on. Quality tofu. Some mock meats but no eggs sight. Their broad bean paste is homemade and ranks with the best. Got a plate of noodles and a bottle of coke for $1.50. Try the hotpot if you have the time.

Cons: Could sub coke for homemade grass jelly drink

Address update - Edit
Although the place is called "Vegetarian 1000", it's not located on #1000 of St.51. To find it, use the marker on the map, which is correct. The restaurant is on the eastern side of St. 51 (aka Pasteur), between St. 200 and St.208, opposite a car wash.
Read moreOther than what's been written before, not much to add about this simple, cheap, friendly and convenient eatery. Cambodia is not exactly renowned for its food, so what's on offer there is only "decent", not exactly memorable. Still, it's always a pleasure to find veggie options! They close at 9pm, but I'd recommend coming much earlier as they may run out of food or rice.
Pros: Cheap, Closes at 9pm
Cons: No English or photo menu

Local and inexpensive place - Edit
The food was OK and the inner decoration is quite simple and cold (with white tiles on the floor, white walls, greyish formica tables). The prices here are listed only in riels but they accept the dollars of course. It is very inexpensive and quite convenient. I only went there once, I am not sure a lot of foreigners go there. The staff does not usually speak english but one of the costumers might be kind enough to help you choose, as cambodian people are so nice and helpful.
