Ok if you like what asian food in Sweden usually is like. - Edit
Maybe I had too high expectations. I have eaten at so many chinese vegetarian restaurants in South east asia and was expecting something similar. It was not.
Read moreThe buffet had deep fried faux shrimp, pineapple, sweet potatoes and faux meat. Two thai style curries, masaman- and red-. fried vegetables, and the faux lamb. And of course rice and noodles.
There is also a salad buffet. Which as is common in Swedish lunch offers is quite impressive.
The faux lamb is the only dish i consider something extra. Otherwise the dishes lack flavour overall. It's filling for the belly but do not tickle my tastebuds.
Pros: Not very expensive, If you like deep fried food there is plenty., great salad buffet
Cons: Bland flavours, poor price / performance

A Malmö classic - Edit
Vegegården is a classic must-visit in Malmö. They have been around for almost two decades, and for all that time they had offered the most delicious, vegan Chinese-buffet. And a little healty salad-bar too, of course... :)
Read moreIf you. like me, enjoied the western take on a Chinese buffet-restaurant as a child, you would definitely love Vegegårdens vegan edition of this. And not only that: the price is very cheap. For 145 SEK (around 14 €) you can have the all-you-can-eat buffet.
In old days, as I remember, they offered mongolian barbecue too. I miss this however.
Another downside is their strange opening hours. They DO NOT have open for dinner, not even in the weekend. So you can only visit them for lunch.
But in short: If you are in Malmö, give yourself a (lunch) meal at Vegegården. You won't regret it.
Pros: Delicious Chinese buffet, Cheap
Cons: I miss mongolian barbecue, Not open for dinner

Cheap and delicious asian lunch buffé - Edit
A nice place, was there at lunch time during the week. I would imagine that the atmosphere would be great if not for the pandemic; on the other hand, the staff did a good job in establishing a safer lunch environment. The staff is friendly, the service is fast and nice.
Read moreThe buffé is really great: 95kr for all-you-can-eat with lots of different and obviously delicious foods! I'm especially impressed by their execution of vegan shrimps, beef, and lamb. The only complain I have is the limited healthy options at the salad bar. Most of their foods are deep fried, very oily and/or salty, so keep that in mind if that's a concern for you.
Pros: Cheap & delicious, Friendly service, Many different & exciting options at buffé
Cons: Limited healthy options at buffé

Super cool - Edit
It's so cool to be able to have a typical Swedish Chinese buffet like this as a vegan. Everything was really tasty and fresh, especially the "lamb" and the "beef" with mushrooms and bambo shoots. The only thing I missed was deep fried banana with syrup and ice cream. They had deep fried pineapple but it's just not the same and you also need the syrup and the ice cream for the full experience.

Cons: No banan and ice cream

Bland food - Edit
Cozy restaurant but the food wasnt impressive at all. Me and husband took 3 small dishes each (no buffet because of corona) and they were all bland and tasteless. My spring rolls were cold.

Lots of choice - Edit
Lunchtime buffet menu is 89SEK. Lots of choice & it’s a busy place so food doesn’t sit around for long. Chinese inspired you’ll find noodles, rice, couscous, sweet & sour dishes, tofu, mock meats, spring rolls. All very tasty. Chilled water is brought to the table. Coffee is included in price ( soy milk available) I’m not usually a fan of buffets, but this was a good one
