Overall, Vegateau is a very cute little spot. Their cookies are excellent and I had their ice cream a while ago and it was delectable. I was not impressed by their cupcakes and thought they were almost undercooked (we tried different flavours on different occasions).

We went to Vegâteau and Zébulon on the same day. We love them both! Zébulon is not gluten-free so Vegâteau has that advantage. Vegâteau offers delicious and beautiful fancy, gluten-free, and vegan French sweets.

we got a paris-brest eclair, a caramel cupcake, and a matcha tart. i was nervous about this place bc im not gluten free and honestly ive never really enjoyed gluten free food (plus it messes up my tummy), but i was surprised! the eclair was amazinggggg, and the caramel cupcake was good too, but had a strange texture. i personally didn’t like the matcha tart but that’s not their fault, i am very particular about matcha.

Great desserts including cookies, cupcakes and cakes! The cookies n cream cake was delicious, but the icing was a little too sweet. The raspberry-pistachio log was also yummy. Both popular for the vegans and non-vegans.

Vegateau is the perfect bakery for those or you looking for vegan and gluten-free sweets. By now, we think we've tried all their items (cookies, brownies, éclairs, cupcakes, tarts, opéras, muffins, ...), and they are all delicious. The best part is that our non-vegan friends also always like them, making this the perfect snack to bring to your friends' or the perfect place to stop at with a group. Enjoy!

Read moreWe got the lemon meringue tart ($6) which could have used more lemon flavor and the tart part could have been a little less crispy. The cashew and almond eclair ($6.50) which was perfect to me. It had a perfect balance of sweet and salty.
We also got 2 muffins ($3.75) which had the raspberry crumble which was amazing. It had great flavor and the perfect amount of raspberry filling. The second muffin was the chocolate chip which was good but had a pretty crispy muffin top.
The price is good for the variety but could have used a little more flavor in certain ways

Amazing selection of vegan tarts, cupcakes, and cakes. The matcha tart and opera cake are must-haves! Everything is artfully crafted, visually aesthetic, and delicious. You can tell the ingredients are very high quality, and not overly sweet. Highly recommend this place!

As far as I know, this is the only place in Montreal that sells vegan éclairs. I stopped by this afternoon hoping to find some, but they were out. So I got fruit tarts, which were delicious!

Update: I finally got the eclairs and they were sooo good (especially the hazelnut), it's crazy how good these gluten free bakeries are getting!

Le personnel est très gentil et le local, offre des places assises pour une pause gourmande dans un décor pur et minimaliste.
Les prix sont plus que raisonnable au vue de qualité des produits. Par exemple : un éclaire paris Brest 5.5$ et cup cake au chocolat 4.5$
