Great food and they do it spicy!! - Edit
Don’t [censored] around here if you not into the spice ask them to make it mild. Also if you like spice but not crying, don’t be overconfident. I usually don’t have to pull peppers out, and I asked for a 7 once and was brutal. Duck curry is a personal favorite but everything has been good.

Yummy! What we've been looking for! - Edit
We're from Seattle. The vegan options around here are a little lackluster, in my opinion. I am pleased to have found this gem though. Great food, good prices, friendly service. We ordered the drunken noodles with beef. Pineapple fried rice with beef. Cashew chicken. And cream cheese wonton. All was wonderful. The drunken noodles were ordered medium spicy and wasn't spicy at all when we received it. I just added my own spice. The flavors were wonderful aside from that. We look forward to returning.

Great food. Great location. - Edit
The staff here works very hard, and is so helpful. The dishes are all authentic and unique - obviously delicious. Same owners as Sab Lai and Thotsakan, and the same quality, delicious vegan dishes. They put heaters out when it’s cold, and have several outdoor tables. I come here often, and will continue to come here. Love the extensive menu of tasty dishes!

Thai food is my favorite. My go to place is definitely plumeria but sometimes I have been to plumeria so much that i need a change of pace. I love that veganic is all vegan!! I live that there are some unique dishes that you don’t see on every menu. It is a bit pricey imo but super delicious food! I highly recommend veganic!

Love Thai food! - Edit
As a vegan, I tend to go to a lot of Thai restaurants because just about everything can be made vegan by just substituting veggies or tofu for meat. What a surprise I had when I found this vegan Thai gem! It was so nice to be able to order my favorite dishes with plant-based chicken, beef and shrimp. They were really delicious and somewhat realistic too. I try not to eat too much processed, plant-based meats but this will be my go-to restaurant when I want something meat-like.

Delicious Vegan Thai - Edit
Decided to try this place out for dinner after a long day at the beach and driving around San Diego and it did not disappoint.
Read moreTried out the Green Apple Salad which was better than I expected, I would definitely recommend this dish. Also had the Tom Kha soup which went nice to balance out some of the spice from the Green Apple Salad.
Overall was really happy to find an all vegan Thai restaurant so will definitely come back.

Oh I Wish... - Edit
While I wish so badly to say the best Thai food in San Diego is at an all vegan spot. Unfortunately this is not the case. Still, the food is generally good--although leans towards bland and watery. If ordering take-out this is easily remedied with a squirt of hoisin and a pinch of vinegared chili at home. If you are dining in (or taking out) The Three Flavored Fish and Apple Salad are easy to look past but are menu stand outs that come full flavor as-is.

So Many Vegan Protein Options! - Edit
Veganic Thai is always an incredible experience. 100% #vegan with super fresh ingredients, bountiful portions and a vast selection of mock meat options. We love this place!
Read moreMust tries include:
Their unbelievable Mushroom Salad, packed with three kinds of unique mushrooms tossed with a spicy lime dressing.
Garden Wraps - a unique take on summer rolls, with soy chicken, black shiitake mushrooms and spring mix with and tangy basil dipping sauce.
Salmon Panang Curry with vegan soy salmon, yes, soy salmon. This is something totally unique that you're not going to find anywhere else and it's so good! The panang curry is warm and comforting and the soy salmon has a great flavor and texture. Gotta check it out.
Garlic Pepper Stir Fry - a light and refreshing mix of perfectly crisp veg in a mild, garlicky sauce. Awesome with soy beef.
Spicy Eggplant Stir fry - perfectly cooked eggplant with al dente veg and a rich, flavorful sauce. Get it with the mock duck.

San Diego favorite - Edit
Best vegan Thai food in San Diego! OMG, the cream cheese wontons are to die for. We've been here a few times and most recently I got the Drunken Noodle entree but ordered it with a zero spice level. Perfect! My bf is obsessed with the Jungle Curry. He says the spice levels are pretty accurate. Parking can be difficult, but that's Hillcrest for you. They do serve beer and wine. Service is excellent and prices are very reasonable.

The Best Vegan Thai in San Diego - Edit
I've been going here since living near Balboa Park, when it 1st opened.
Read moreThe mock meats are marvelous, the spice levels are from mild to wild, and the selections on the menu are just right.
Now I live in Northern SD and still get a take out order whenever I'm in the Hillcrest area.
However, lately the spicy fried rice has had a bland flavor (tastes what I imagine cleaning products must taste like) the last handful of times I've ordered. And the portions are always a hit or miss.
Used to be a favorite but this new bland flavor on the mock ckn fried rice cannot be overlooked.
Pros: Great variety of mock meats (not just mock duck), Yummy flavors and spices , Reasonable Prices and fast service
Cons: New odd flavor on spicy fried rice, Smaller portions on takeout orders

Waitress Actually Argued With Me! - Edit
If I could give this place 1 start, I would.
Read moreMy husband and I went here for dinner. He ordered the Larb which was just tasteless, flavorless tofu in a lettuce bowl. I ordered the drunken noodles. We both specifically asked for our food to be mild and not spicy or hot. When our food arrived, I tasted a piece of his tofu and it was spicy and I could tell by looking at the chili flakes and excessive amount of black pepper that mine was spicy. My noodles were extremely spicy.
We were both very hungry, so we just ate it. I told our waitress that my food was hot and she said "sorry" sarcastically and walked off. Then when she came back with the bill, she made sure to tell me that she "did not put in hot" and tried to argue with me that the food I ate wasn't spicy.
There are Soooooo many delicious vegan options in San Diego, so I would avoid this place at all costs.
Cons: Rude servers, Expensive, tasteless food, The bathroom is right by the dining area - EW!
