An institution 💚 - Edit
Organisation that both works with the public (awareness, info/edu) as well as the industry as it is in charge of the (v)-labels companies use in their packaging. They also organise the Veganmania events further promoting the cause.
Read moreTheir website offers lots of helpful information (e.g. guides for health checkups, which blood value tests to request etc) as well as lifestyle content (travel, cooking, news ...).
At a workplace event on the topic of veganism, an employee of theirs attended and gave us a presentation on how they operate. Very interesting!

veganmania = heaven - Edit
before i come to the veganmania: this organisation is super important! they organise a lot of vegan events, charity things, raise awareness etc. in austria. there is also the option to financially support them (monthly i think) and then you'll be rewarded with a v-card. it gives you discount at several restaurants, cafés, hotels, shops and more. in my opinion a great idea!
Read moreto the veganmania i visited: it was the jubilee veganmania in october 2023 at the rathausplatz in vienna. i was there for 3 days.
🌱what i found great was that the entry was free. many vegan trade fairs/events like this i know from germany cost money. therefore, i felt like there were also more omnis who tried out some vegan food etc. this was a big opportunity for them to understand that veganism isn't about eating grass and stones
🌱i just love vegan events in general. i always feel more comfortable with like-minded people around. they were just so cute and friendly. it was really worth to come all the way from düsseldorf to experience this:)
🌱there were only vegan things sold/to try. even though some of the food trucks for instance also sell animal's products at other times, they had a vegan only offer for these 3 days
🌱you could try a lot of products for free, especially from start-ups, and many also had special veganmania prices so you had to pay less than usually. furthermore, there were online shops presenting their products so you could discover new brands etc. you didn't know before (and save the shipping costs)
🌱there was also a sports program with yoga lessons, fitness sessions with austria's vegan sports team and strength training with germany's strongest man
some vegan chefs were there too and had cooking shows, meet and greets and more
🌱there was a tombola and several lotteries where you could either win food, gift cards for certain businesses, a free stay at a vegan accomodation, ...
🌱you could also take loads of stickers with you that promote a vegan lifestyle. i will flood all my city with them hehe
all in all, i can really only recommend the veganmania as well as this organisation in general. if i lived in austria, i would definitely want to get the v-card since the austrian vegan society is only worth supporting!
