Yummy dinner! - Edit
Had a lovely dinner here. Nice and friendly staff and relaxed vibe. Wanted to try the moussaka but it was so popular they ran out! Had their version of lasagne instead and a Greek salad - was delicious and filling.

Great food and service - Edit
The meal at Veganaki was great. Portions were huge but this didn’t impact quality as the food was so tasty. I really enjoyed the pastitsio and the cashew nuts feta cheese. The staff were also super friendly and polite.

Fully vegan AND gluten-free bliss - Edit
Veganaki is the very first restaurant I've ever been to that is vegan AND gluten free. This is such a revelation for vegan people with gluten intolerance! To be able to choose anything from the (extensive) menu is pure bliss.
Read morePair that with friendly service, affordable prices and yummy food (the tzatziki is amazing), this is the only place in the centre of Athens I ever need to eat at.

Very nice staff, normal food, expensive - Edit
Service very kind and welcoming, they offered soup on the house because it was cold today (this was very nice). We ordered rice bread to eat with the soup and 2 beers. We wanted some snack and ordered bean fava, but they didn't tell us that is actually a spread like hummus, not the whole baked/cooked fava bean. We had to order rice bread again (and it is not cheap, a small plate with bread 3,50€!!!). The dessert I wanted to order wasn't available (as half of the beers) and I ordered some dessert made of cocoa and hazelnut. Then arrived a glass of hazelnut cream, like a Nutella. Was very strange to eat that without something else (or cookie, or some crust inside, I don't know, should be like a mousse but somehow I felt that I ate a whole glass of pure "Nutella" just for no reason). We were not so hungry, we just wanted a snack, but we weren't rightly advised and made bad choices.

🌱 Veganaki special is … special 🙏 - Edit
Lucky mistake. Was heading to Mama Tierra Acropolis but they were closed when advertising as open! Next on the list was Veganaki and I’m so glad I ended up here. Want something special - this is the place - get the special. Couldn’t fault the menu or execution.
Read moreVeganaki Special 18€: 3 mung bean mini patties, served with a generous portion of Greek salad drizzled with good quality olive oil and topped with a square of cashew nut feta cheese, fried (not in oil), herbed and well-seasoned potato wedges, with a large dollop of homemade tzatziki, a big dollop of mustard sauce and a lemon wedge. Everything on the plate complemented each other and it was worth every cent.
Would I recommend? Make it your Number 1 vegan spot in Athens.
Would I go back? Yes, but with so many vegan outlets I’ll have to try them all before I return. #Veganuary

Great vegan versions of Greek cuisine - Edit
We've come here three times during our stay in Athens and we had moussaka, pastitsio, spaghetti carbonara and souvlaki. Although not Greek, carbonara was my favourite with pastitsio ranking second. We once also had air fried potatoes but since they were so thick, they weren't really crispy. Otherwise we enjoyed every dish. The staff is incredibly kind. The restaurant is located at a noisy crossroad but then again where isn't it loud in Athens? We can highly recommend it if you don't wanna miss out on Greek classics!

Great Experience - Edit
Excellent food! We enjoyed everything, from pomegranate-orange juice (orange is freshly pressed), to the daily soup (green lentils), to soutzoukakia, to the Pesto pizza, to the hazelnut cream. Some dishes had a minor unfamiliarity to it, the lentil soup was very thick, the pesto really strong or the hazelnut cream almost creamy enough to be spread on bread. But all were delicious! The atmosphere is also welcoming, just the outside area is for car-lovers as you sit directly next to a big street.
Read moreOn our second visit we had pumpkin soup, moussaka, bean fava, pita burger and the apple pie muffin. The moussaka was delicious, as was the bean fava (recommended to order with some bread). The soup and burger were very tasty too, but not as much as what we had for our first time there. The muffin was good, but quite dry. The ice tea is nice, don't expect a super sweet one!

A Gem of Athens - Edit
You can’t find vegan Greek food like this anywhere else in the world. The traditional moussaka with the almond milk béchamel was one of the best things I’ve ever had. Easting this amazing dinner street side with a cool evening breeze made my trip. What an amazing memory. Staff are awesome, friendly and helpful! (The apple muffin dessert wasn’t the best. Too dry. Recommend trying something else.)

- The souvlaki was so flavourful!
- The oil-free potatoes are the best I’ve ever had!
- I really enjoyed the yoghurt even though I’m not much of a yoghurt person usually! Nice and sweet, sweetened with agave,
- The cheese pita was really tasty! Had a strong olive flavour,
- The omelette was like a typical healthy vegan omelette rather than an ‘eggy’ replica.
Outdoor and indoor seating.
Situated near Hadrian’s Arch.
Highly recommend you pay this place a visit! Lovely, and reliable.
