Ok - Edit
The service was very friendly and food came quickly. The portion size is quite big so you definitely won’t be hungry afterwards. Unfortunate the vegan moussaka was pretty disappointing. The cauliflower flower béchamel was missing the creamy richness of the original, the lentil sauce was missing the heartiness of the original. Eggplant was still a bit tough. Taste was bland altogether. Definitely had better vegan moussakas before. The Ice Matcha neither looked nor tasted like matcha, which was definitely a letdown for the price.

My brother ate some patties and I ate the tempeh. Both absolutely delicious. Phenomenal. Both 12.50 euros. Five stars for the food, restaurant and service.

What a find! Apart from the fact that we were staying at an apartment quite near this place, we couldn't go home without trying it. And it was fantastic, though we had to leave something as we were completely full... But I swear I have to come back and try their moussaka since they ran out of it that day :(

Vegan traditional food! - Edit
It’s a great place to try vegan variants of Greek traditional foods. Portions are huge. We had the appetiser platter and everything was great, even though there were maybe too many sauces: I really enjoyed the potatoes and the pita bread. The pastitio was really yummy but a little bit too heavy on spices for my taste. If you plan to have the moussaka, I suggest to specify it in your reservation because unfortunately it was finished when I went there.

Best choice of the week - Edit
After 5 days of chasing vegan, GF food on a small island before, we arrived to Athens and accidentally passed by this restaurant. As it looked promising, we returned for lunch which proved to be the best decision of our day
Read moreI could have picked my food with closed eyes from the menu, I really liked all items, didn't really matter what I eat :)
Some photos attached of the zucchini pie, greek salad with feta, and the keftedakia. We ate the tiramisu sooner than having an opportunity to take a photo.
But the best was that I didnt need to ask about the gluten content of each food, the whole menu is GF.

Must Try! - Edit
As a frequent traveler who relies on HappyCow to guide me to vegan restaurants around the world, I can confidently say this place is a must-visit. Their commitment to using real, high-quality ingredients is evident, and it feels like every dish—especially the cheeses—is made from scratch with care. The appetizer plate is a highlight, offering a generous portion that easily serves two people. It showcases a variety of flavors and creative vegan dishes that truly demonstrate culinary mastery. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, I highly recommend eating here!

Try the sharing platter - Edit
We ordered way too much food because everything looked so good and it was. The sharing platter easily serves as an entire meal for 2 people so you might have to make two visits do you can try the rather tasty moussaka too

Heavy - Edit
Overall not bad, although not exceptional, but the main problem was that was heavy in terms of oil and onions. I burped for one day after having dinner.

Delicious Greek Food - Edit
I went to Veganaki and tried their pastitsio and greek salad.
Read moreComing from a Greek Cypriot background, my family often make pastitsio and attempt to veganise it too. I saw a comment about how cinnamon shouldn't be used, which to me is completely wrong. Cinnamon is always used to flavour the mince in my family, and mint to season the pasta as well.
The vegan pastitsio at Veganaki is completely unmatched. The soy mince is delicious and the bechamel is other-worldly. Creamy and fluffy inside with a golden, crisp outside - I am dying to know how they make it so perfectly!
My only issue is that I don't think the use of gluten-free pasta works. The pasta didn't hold its form and crumbled very easily. However it's nice that they cater to gluten-free and coeliac people.
The Greek salad was also delicious. It uses a homemade cashew-based feta alternative, which is heavenly. I nearly ate the whole block to myself.
I would definitely put this restaurant on my list of best vegan food in Athens. Please visit if you're in the area!
Pros: 100% vegan, Delicious homemade food, Good ambience & interiors
Cons: On the pricier side, Next to a main road

So good I had to go twice! - Edit
This was hands-down the best food I had during my entire trip to Greece. I'm really pleased to have had the chance to try traditional local dishes while upholding my vegan values. The souzoukakia was so delicious that I took a major detour on my last evening, purely to have it again as my final meal. Thank you!

Amazing vegan Greek food - Edit
What a surprise! I tried the Pastitsio and the moussaka, and they were both delicious. One of them had a cinnamon flavour, which I don’t recall being in the traditional recipes, but it didn’t ruin the dish. If you are vegan, it’s a great opportunity for you to try traditional dishes that have been veganized.
