Vegan vending machine across the street from Parliament in a concrete alcove. Products are labeled as from Spring Street Grocer around the corner. On the bottom three shelves there are an assortment of salads in round cardboard containers, sandwiches, chia chocolate, coconut water, three kinds of juices and kombucha, which is a variety of black or green teas that have been fermented. Reported closed, Jan 2021.

Very Handy

Perfect to grab a ready made vegan lunch to take to work. Quite a wide selection although the wrap I chose was fairly ordinary and the chocolate cookie was pricey. However good to find this innovation which makes life a bit easier when the canteen at work is [censored] !

Pros: Handy, Good range

Cool idea

I tried it for fun and the food is pretty decent. Vegan food, healthy meals or cheeky treats available 24h, finally!
Check it out, hopefully they'll be more available soon!

Pros: Decent food, 24h

Cons: Not enough of these available yet

Fabulous source of vegan sustenance in Melbourne CBD

Vending machine for quick access to vegan snacks, meals and drinks. It's located beside Butchers Diner, 10 Bourke Street, just up from Spring Street. Open 24 hours.😉I understand it is owned by Spring Street Grocer, around the corner at 157 Spring Street, the same people who own Butchers Diner. It contains chocolate bars, chips, chia pots, fruit salad, hummus and veg sticks, juices and meals (October 2018). I bought for $5 (card only) a generous two slices of banana bread accompanied by a sour-creamy spread. Very, very good, and just what I needed.
I’ve heard from others that everything is delicious, particularly the BBQ tempeh wrap with cream cheeze, soba noodle salad and cauliflower wrap. I hear that the staff who replenish the machine wear stylish waiters’ uniforms.

Pros: all vegan, always open, source of quick food
