If you're lucky enough to be there when it's open you definitely should go!
Read moreIt's a nice atmosphere, there is plenty of international food choices and it's a relieve to not think about whereas it's vegan or not!

A great option for everyone - Edit
This is a really nice evening out, just a shame it's not more regular. There's stalls, entertainment and lots of vegan food options - most are regulars but occasionally there might be a new food truck/ stall available.

Go for a short time and a good time - Edit
Medium sized burgeoning market with a good range of cuisines, large and smaller sized food items, savoury and sweet and non vegan stalls too.
Read moreI enjoy the live music. Easy to get to, parking not a problem. The layout and location is quaint and attractive. There's a good vibe even when it goes a bit quiet or it's the end of the market.
The stallholders are collectively very friendly and relaxed but still professional in terms of food and cash handling standards, advertising their products well and the like.
There are utensils and dishes to use that are collected up to be washed which is rad.
I especially appreciate the fact that it is still on throughout Winter!
A dependable monthly ALL VEGAN market is not to be taken for granted.
Must remember to bring my own takeaway containers next time nomnomnom

The vegan night markete is fantastic. - Edit
The venue was great and there was lots of car parks at the actual venue. Such friendly people were serving. I ran into so many people I knew so it was great for socialising. They had some lovely music playing so that was awesome to watch while eating dinner. The food was incredible and there was so much variety. I left so full as there were so many different things I wanted to try. There was staff in bright green vests which was also very helpful. Overall it was an amazing experience and I can't wait to take more friends next time.

Fabulous and 100% vegan - Edit
I look forward to the last Saturday of each month for the Vegan Night Market organised by the Christchurch Vegan Society.
Read moreAn eclectic mixture of stalls and caravans selling sweet and savoury food as well as some non-food items. Musical entertainment is also provided so you can make an evening of it in a great venue which has inside places when it's a bit cold or wet.
It's also a good place to catch up with friends.
Pros: Great food quality and choices., Supporting the Vegan community.
Cons: Pity it's only once a month!

Love going to a completely vegan activity! So good being able to just order products from stalls without having to ask for ingredient lists. Variety of stalls to choose from and have eaten from most of them now.😄Will definitely be going back to the chocolate stall!

The food is amazing! - Edit
Very friendly stall holders supplying such a great range of healthy and super delicious savoury dishes and sweet treats. Non vegans will love it too! There's also some great information on all sorts of topics to support your vegan journey. The music was excellent (some gifterld musicians) and nice warm indoor spaces to hang out and talk with cool people.

Good prices. Great selection. - Edit
There’s usually a wide range of vendors. If it rains, they are inside the buildings. Cheap and cheerful. Meet likeminded folk.

Great idea, execution needs work - Edit
Great concept with a range of food trucks with vegan options, similar to the night noodle markets but vegan. Unfortunately the food runs out early in the night and the food was extremely average when we attended, to the point we were embarrassed to have brought non vegan friends. We suggested this might need to be addressed for future events but were brushed off. Hopefully this event will improve in future!

Cons: Food was not good, Food ran out long before event finished

Hi Sophie, We're really sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the event (and we did reply to you at the time, we certainly didn't brush you off). We have received overwhelmingly positive feedback overall, but can't please everyone all of the time. Your issue was with one particular stall, and your feedback was passed on. I hope you'll give the mākete another try. Come volunteer too! We always need people to help as this event is entirely run by volunteers who put in a lot of time and effort to do something nice for the vegan community.

Awesome market - Edit
This market was a hit! Great to see crowds of people turn up to support veganism and buy vegan food. Great positivity from all staff and organisers! Can’t wait for the next one. I hope next time there are more stalls and space as it was quite crowded and there were lots of queues (although I am glad of this at the same time, as it shows veganism is growing in popularity).

Wonderful event - Edit
Had a great time at the Mākete - such a great vibe with the live music and so many stalls. My favourite was the vegan sausage sizzle. So nice to go to an event and be able to have a sausage in bread like a normal kiwi! Also nice to support an event organised by the local vegan community.
