Vegan food in Escondido! - Edit
I had the mock buffalo chicken salad which was excellent - buffalo chicken fried to order, sides of vegan feta and ranch dressing, lots of greens and veggies for $13 not bad. Very laid back low key and friendly. #Veganuary

Stopped by on my way to San Diego from up north. I was so hungry. They were so nice and polite. Food was delicious! It fires the Vitality drink and Turkey club. Will definitely be coming back.

Read moreOwner has now made the location FULLY VEGAN and changed the name to Vegan Nectar! Menu has expanded and the cafe now has a mini market in it full of vegan chips, meats, ice cream, frozen meals, cheeses, jerky, drinks, candy, etc. They also have Taiwanese Snow Ice that I plan to try when the weather gets warmer. Great local, vegan business to support!
I recommend the Carne Asada Torta, Breakfast Bagel (add avocado), and any of the three melt sandwiches (avocado, tofu, mushroom).
P.S. any item with avocado is worth it. He uses fresh, creamy avocados and gives incredibly generous portions.

Little Vegan Mart - Unique Meats & Cheese - Edit
I was so excited to stumble into this vegan juice bar & vegan mart while I was waiting for my Phattie’s enchilada I walked next store and found this gem. I can’t wait to go back and stock up on unique vegan meats. They had a lot of brands that I couldn’t find in other stores & my favorite once cream brand: Nada Moo! I would love to give 5 stars for this place, but the happy cow system doesn’t allow if they have an iota of meat. This place has only a couple meat items, the owner did not want to exclude anyone that might also want to try vegan dishes. He is 98% vegan and sells many kitchen foodstuff to take home. Vegan turkey roast, vegan bacon and eggs, ice cream. His smoothies are all whole food and only $6.5. Quick excellent service from a very hardworking guy. Must try this for inexpensive vegan food.😉

This and other sites say it is closed Sundays but we have gone twice just to check and it is open. This place is small, cute and the name is a bit deceiving. It sounds like only juice but is so much more! The fruit is so fresh and the vegan sandwiches are super delicious!

Owner is friendly and helpful and willing to customize your order. I got the vegan tofu melt on toasted sourdough. It is spicy and wonderful. Your choice of breads- wheat, sourdough or ciabatta. Large portions, so I saved half the sandwich for later. It came with a side. I chose the fruit cup over chips. Fruit cup has quite the variety- fresh strawberries, blueberries, mango, watermelon, pineapple, honeydew, and cantaloupe. Topped it off with their Sweet Citrus juice (pineapple, apple, lemon, and mint.) Can’t wait to try their other vegan sandwiches and will probably get the Sweet Citrus juice again because it’s that good!
