Lasagna lunch

One of today's specials is lasagna, quinoa on mixed greens, Rasta cauliflower, and dark bread garlic toast. Every bit was flavorful and delicious. The smaller $12 meal was plenty.

Pros: Within walking distance of my son's house :-)

Tasty burgers and daily specials

This tiny cafe offers take-out and a few dine-in seats. They have a hearty daily special complete with a salad and optional "rasta chicken" - an island favorite of breaded and deep fried cauliflower. Delicious gyro's are made with seitan. You won't find a frozen burger patty here. The chef makes their own veggie burger patties. And I mean patties (plural). There are over seven kinds of patties to choose from for your burger which include black bean, lentil, beet (very good), flax, vegetable and more. Vegan Haven has two locations. This is their brick and mortar cafe just outside the town of Christiansted across from Canageta Park and about a block from Seaside Market. The cafe is family run. They also have a popular food truck which is parked a few miles out of town. Great for grabbing lunch on the go.

Pros: Home made vegan burger patties. , Gyros, wraps, and full-plate daily specials, Local drinks like passion fruit and tamarind

Cons: Closed weekends
