Creative vegetable dishes - Edit
We reserved a table via Instagram to make sure we'd get a really good vegan meal in Sapporo, and it did not disappoint! When we booked, they asked if we wanted the vegan or pescetarian menu. When we arrived at the restaurant, they also confirmed our vegan choice, so we had no concerns about getting the wrong dishes now that they are no longer all vegan.
Read moreWe had a set menu of six courses, we didn't choose any specific dishes ourselves. The dishes were vegetable centric and felt quite light, but we were certainly full by the end. At first I thought the flavours might be a bit too subtle, but then I realised I was enjoying tasting nice fresh vegetables. The dishes featuring basil were a particular highlight. I also loved the burdock stew. Each dish was something I'd never had before, and I was really impressed by the creativity. A lot of the vegetables were locally sourced, which was good to hear.
It wasn't a cheap evening, it was 16-17,000 for two of us, with one non alcoholic drink each. Still, it was worth the money in my opinion. Service was excellent, very friendly and we got all the dish descriptions in English. It's a lovely place, recommended!

Fantastic intimate restaurant in Hokkaido - Edit
As basically every food item in Hokkaido has milk in it I was pleasantly surprised to find a totally vegan restaurant.
Read moreCute, intimate restaurant located on a quiet back street. Seats about a dozen people and you can see the chef cooking the meal from any table.
Food is served as a multi-round course, so there's no menu to order from. All the food is completely vegan with a lot of variety between each course. They use a lot of local Hokkaido ingredients so our meal had a common theme through the courses (asparagus). Plus there were some ingredients I'd never heard of before which were fun to have.
The waitress spoke great English and had no trouble explaining the dishes as they came out. Desserts were also amazing!
Pros: Varied course menu, Good drink selection , Pleasant staff

Everything is amazing and must visit - Edit
Omakase style (no fixed dishes, the chef told me he make it as his inspiration at that moment) and super delicious. Very detail and focus on using seasonal and local (Japanese) vegetables. Absolutely worth the price and to be honest, too cheap for this quality. If I have this at Tokyo, it would be more than double the price. So must visit restaurant when you are in Sapporo!

Nice experience! - Edit
Cozy little arty place which is a bit difficult to find at first. They do set menus which are available in 5-, 7- and 10-course meals. I treated myself to a 7-course one which included 2 entrees, 2 starters, a main and 2 deserts and it was delish and nicely presented with an arty touch. Red wine is too cold though!

Good experience - Edit
I had the 5 course lunch meal, which included 2 desserts. The food was well presented, and the chef explained each course; although it was in Japanese, I understood most of it but not all. It was relatively inexpensive and tasted great.

Fine Dining - Edit
This was my first experience of vegan fine dining and it was excellent. I had a seven course meal. I began with a berry and banana smoothie. The dishes started off with a 'salad' of pear slices and some kind of charcoal cracker, then daikon and thin sliced beets with citrus, breaded mushrooms in a creamy sauce, gnocchi in a pasta sauce, carrots and onions with avocado many accoutrements, and two scrumptious desserts. Superb service and it was fun to watch the chef go about in the kitchen. Tasty and filling.
Read moreA wonderful experience in a nice, quiet, small restaurant that you wouldn't expect to find in a back alley road!
Be sure to make a reservation at least a day in advance for lunch and maybe two days for dinner to be sure. You can drop in, however, and if they are full there are a couple other great vegan restaurants close by!

Delicious and Beautiful Food and Friendly Vegan Owners - Edit
This is probably my favorite restaurant in Sapporo. The owners are really nice and are actually vegans themselves. The food is delicious and the presentation is beautiful. The atmosphere of the shop is fancy but casual, good for a date or going with friends or even alone. I went with my husband at night and we ordered the 5-dish omakase course and a few extra a la carte dishes. Everything was amazing and I was extremely impressed. I definitely want to come here again next time I'm in Sapporo.

Great experience, food was simple but good - Edit
The staff was very kind and the setting very intimate and cosy. Was expecting more of a fine dining experience, but it felt like I could have cooked this 5 course dinner myself too. Although it was not what I was hoping for, the flavours were good, the drink menu great, and it is super affordable to what you’d pay elsewhere for a similar experience.

Amazing food, kind staff - Edit
Finding vegan food in Sapporo was not an easy task but this restaurant was a saviour. The chef and hostess were so kind, it felt like I was at home. I loved the food so much I came here twice! The chef cooks up very creative French fusion food that is delicious (some of the best vegan food I’ve had). A must if you’re a vegan in Sapporo.

Best meal(s) of my life - Edit
Chef is a mad scientist using unique tastes and textures creating beautiful and healthy culinary delights. You can choose from a 7 course or 10 course . I think 7 is filling enough but I didn’t want to miss out on anything so ordered the 10 course when it was available on my second visit. Everything was unique, tasty, healthy and beautifully presented. Don’t miss out on the house-made fermented sodas!

Unique and artsy must-do for Sapporo! - Edit
The entire restaurant is run by one guy who cooks and serves everything. The whole time it feels like we’ve been invited into his house for a strange and elaborate meal. As far as I can tell he doesn’t really speak English (my friend was available to communicate), but I reserved a table (in English) on Instagram and had no trouble. Good signage and easy to find (maybe updated since prior reviews). We got the 10-course menu and it was honestly all extremely varied and just super cool and delicious. Feels very sophisticated but down to earth. I’m writing this review because this guy is great and deserves more money! Would happily return for a different season to see what new dishes he comes up with.

Most unique and pleasing fine dining experience I've had. - Edit
I ate there last night on my first visit to Sapporo. I ordered the 10 course meal (solo) and was blown away with what was served! I was very impressed and pleased with the flavours and textures that were present in the dishes. The cook (owner, I presume) knows what he's doing and then some! Very nice guy!
Read moreThe restaurant was very nice and had a great atmosphere. I love how it was tucked away in the middle of the neighbourhood.
There was some flavour/texture/odor of some of the dishes that I was a little unprepared for (I found that the wakame and conjac were a bit intense, but that's my taste when it comes to those kinds of ingredients) although, as I dug in more it all started to make perfect sense with what was being used in the dishes as it all came together beautifully! Like I said, the cook knows what he's doing! Amazing!
It started out with a very light carrot soup and progressed through root veggies, conjac, some fruit and pastry dishes up to curry and rice and dessert. You definitely get what you pay for! You could share with another or if you're like me and can eat and eat (especially vegan dishes) then it's well worth trying the 10 course.
I was particularly pleased with the potato dishes, the 'Yorkie' pudding ( I'm pretty sure that's what it was , lol), the spring roll and the muffin of Hope in dessert! (I'm a sucker for sweeter/pastry stuff, lol).
Every dish was something new and unique and I have never experienced dining such as this with vegan food. True artistry! Very nice experience! I'll be back! (As that famous line goes, lol).
Great Job!
Pros: Very nice owner/chef, Beautiful food, Wonderful atmosphere and experience

One of the BEST dining experiences in 2 years of living in Japan - Edit
Amazing experience. Felt like a fancy shojin ryori experience at a fraction of the price and a lot more personal. It won’t always be like this, but tonight we were the only customers and the friendly chef served and chatted with us throughout the night (in Japanese, he might not speak English—didn’t come up). The ambiance is wonderful—there is nice lighting and music. For dinner there are 3 options; a five plate meal for 2500yen, seven plate for 3500 and 10 plate for 5000. We did seven but were full by the 5th. A glass of vegan wine was an additional ~500yen. The dishes were lovingly prepared and served on various and beautiful plates, made with food that arrived from a farm as recently as 6pm that evening. The food is very fresh and mainly featured vegetables in various forms, with lots of interesting tastes. I will admit, not every taste was a slam dunk for me, but I appreciated the variety and novelty regardless. And there was a lot of food, even though each plate of food was modestly sized! I ended up not being able to finish. The earthy theme extends to the dessert of banana bread, which was much less sweet than I’m used to. But overall, much more than a meal; a wonderful experience. Worth splurging on this place, I promise.

You Will Leave the Place Happy, Satisfied and Very Full with the Best Vegan Food in Sapporo - Edit
I found the place by searching for vegan dinner spots on Google Maps, which had no reviews yet so I was a bit hesitant, but I am so happy I went through with it because the place was a vegan haven. The location is actually the same place as Aoi Sora, but they operate during different hours. The place is a bit hard to find at first (narrow doorway), but you’ll find it. There really isn’t a menu, you simply decide on how many dishes you want in your course, and the prices are set up according to the number of dishes. And ALL of the dishes are completely vegan! 🌱 They offer various organic and vegan alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, so pick your favorite to go along with the plates that keep coming out at the perfect timing. You never want the food to stop, but you realize midway that you are reaching your limit, since each plate is so full of good, quality, hearty food made with locally grown ingredients that the owner gathers from local farms, or that he simply grows himself. The owner is very knowledgeable about the vegan movement in Sapporo, and will be happy to talk about it with anyone (in Japanese). Highly recommend the place for anyone looking for yummy healthy food that’s fancy but also comforting at the same time.
