Happy vibes

There were two staff members behind the counter, the owner and his colleague, who gave us a quick run through about the masses of menu choices. Soup & sandwich menu, breakfast menu, drinks, lots of homemade cakes, weekly special main of homemade seitan and salad, and much more.

My OH had the sweet chilli seitan burger, I went for the savoury pancake stack, and we shared a seitan steak panini and fries. We got cake to take away.

I didn't see any toilet so not sure what customers would usually do, but the nearby car park has loos.

Staff were really friendly and felt like they were really passionate about what they do.

Guaranteed excellent.

I've visited Vegan Earth many times and I have never had a meal there which is not excellent. From the soup , burgers, specials to the wonderful cakes. You just wouldn't be disappointed if you are trying it for the first time. Joe and colleagues are always so welcoming. Best vegan cafe I've been to.

Pros: Everything

Cons: No cons

A Vegan Asset to Ayrshire

We popped in as a party of 5 vegan runners to a warm welcome from Joe and his lovely assistant.
Drinks ordered and we needed loads of time to peruse the extensive menu.
The coffee is amongst the best I’ve had and the I was impressed with my bhudda bowl and carrot cake.
Our table had the (premises made seitan curry, a whole-food burger, spicy mushroom soup and 2 bhudda bowls. Really tasty, really impressive.

Pros: The owner, The assistant , The ambiance

10 stars wouldn’t be enough

What an amazing cafe! My husband and I visited today after finding out about Vegan Earth via Happy Cow. We’re in Scotland on our anniversary holiday and we couldn’t have picked a better place for lunch.

We’ve been vegan for 10 years and this is easily some of the best, homemade comfort food we’ve had. The staff were amazing and friendly- we felt immediately at home and welcome and it was just an all round amazing experience.

We’d be back in a heartbeat if we lived nearby and we’d recommend a visit to Vegan Earth to anyone, vegan or not.

The cafe is loud and proud about veganism and we absolutely loved that.

If you’re thinking about visited, do! You won’t be disappointed.

Pros: The food was amazing, The staff were so friendly, The price is great

Cons: Nothing

Excellent

A brilliant vegan menu to choose from, plenty for everyone including fussy children. I got the buddha bowl and a smoothie (bonus points for having a nice wide paper straw suitable for smoothies), both packed with goodness and flavour. The kids got nuggets and pancakes, so smiles all round. Really friendly owner and charming service. Dogs welcome too. Can’t wait to return.

Lovely cafe and worth visiting

The food was lovely. They had a large menu and it was very hard to choose from with so many great options. We had the vegan afternoon tea the first visit and seitan homemade burger with a home made 'tuna' baguette and chips the second time. Both times the food was perfect. We also had takeaway cake as they looked so good. The owner and their colleagues were very friendly. Also dog friendly.

Pros: Great homemade food, Very friendly , Good price

Warm welcome and great food.

We're Dutch tourists and this place has been on our list for a while should we travel to this area. So happy we managed to visit. It was a week ago but we're still full. The welcome was so warm. So much enthusiasm, humour and heart. The menu was wonderfully original (i.e. not only a standard burger and a salad). For example, I had a seitan 'beef' bourguignon, my husband had sweet potato with chick pea tuna mayo. Portions were generous. All is home made, including some sauces/mayo. Lovely to see it's also a local hangout for neighbours and acquaintances, including non-vegans. Also lovely to see that this is not somebody who has a vegan restaurant because it's a 'trend' to make money of; the many quotes and articles on the wall show it's out of conviction and principle. The owner also paints and one of his works moved me so we left with full stomachs, pancakes for later and a painting.

Voted the best for good reason

This place has tight opening hours, but it is totally worth a visit. Staff are super friendly and the place is packed as soon as it opens.

I had a breakfast of tofu scramble that tasted great with black salt to make it like egg, square sausage, beans. My wife had a Buddha bowl. Cakes were awesome, ginger loaf and a pistachio carrot slice that finished us off.

Would have gone again if we didn't have to leave

Pros: Great food, Friendly staff

Cons: Only open 12 till 3

Delicious afternoon tea

We had a lovely afternoon tea, delicious sandwiches- no egg mayo, no tuna mayo and harissa hummus with avocado, homemade sausage rolls, scones and a selection of cakes. They also do panini's, Buddha bowls, burgers and roast dinners of a Sunday. Highly recommend!

Pros: Such delicious food, Wonderful staff, Such delicious food!!!!

Excellent food & service

We were a group of 3 ordering panini dishes and the sweet potato dish. All came with fresh salads, prices are well balanced to portion size and quality.

We returned later for coffee and cake (...and smoothie) and the owner(s) offered to stay open a bit longer so we could have our break. Very kind and welcoming.

Come here, it'll make your day better for sure.

Pros: Flavours & freshness, Pricing, Hospitality

Cons: No bathroom

Delicious food, very kind staff

A very cosy restaurant with friendly staff.
There was a big variety of choices in different types of food. Burgers, bowls, breakfast and pancakes. We had a seitan burger and the 'all day breakfast' which were both very tasteful. Everything was freshly made in the open kitchen. It was not expensive at all!

Pros: Everything vegan, A lot of different choices, Everything freshly made in open kitchen

What a great wee place!

Visited today with my partner and our 4yo. Loads to choose from on the menu and they even had options for kids. We had cajun burgers and bought a couple of slices of carrot cake to take away. The food was all amazing, but those cakes were spectacular! The staff were really friendly and the owner came over and had a chat with us. We don't live locally, but plan to visit again the next time we're in Ayr.

Great little spot

Friendly service and tasty food. We tried the quorn ham, cheese and mustard panini with salad and chips (chips are an extra cost) and the Buddha bowl, which had chilli tofu, hummus, Cajun chickpeas, slaw, greens, seeds, tomato, avo and peppers. Would love to go back to try the pancake stacks, which looked impressive. #Veganuary

Pros: All vegan, Friendly service , Decent prices

Cons: Coffee not as strong as I’m used to in NZ

Sorry, i've just noticed your comment, i'm only here to please! Please just ask for a stronger coffee and we will put an extra shot in at no extra cost, i'm thinking it was maybe a new staff member that was learning how to make coffee, i'm glad you enjoyed the food though😁🙏

Highly recommend stopping in here. Friendly, down to earth chef who is very passionate about sharing his vegan creations. Amazing panini selection, among many other things. In fact there were so many great things on their menu, it felt overheleming! Will be back to try everything!
They also hold cooking classes.

Pros: Big, varied menu , Passionate vegan chef , Yum
