Nice effort - Edit
The fusion concept is interesting, but the execution on several of the dishes left me wanting more flavor. The chicken chow mein however, was quite good.

all vegan Chinese in Sacramento - Edit
I recently went to Vegan Deadly Sins with my beloved.
Read moreFirst off we ordered and shared two dishes. We ordered the Vegan Chicken Chowmein. This was superb. Good size portion and flavorful. We aren't big fans of mock meat yet the vegan chicken was well done with good flavor and texture. This dish hit the spot.
The second dish we ordered was the Spicy Kung Pao Tofu. We didn't like the texture of the tofu. It was too soft and we didn't care for the sauce. One plus of this dish was that it came with lots of broccoli so that was welcome.
Overall if we returned we would go with a chowmein and perhaps a wonton soup or another noodle dish. No doubt we will be back at some point yet so many other vegan restaurants in Sacramento that we likely would return to Veg Cafe and perhaps the vegan taco spot or another spot since there are several before returning here.
We are happy to see that Sacramento has a plethora of vegan restaurants which is awesome!
Pros: all vegan Chinese, great chowmein

Mediocre at Best - Edit
The food was palatable, but certainly lacked any amazing flavors. The little girl was rude and made sure she came up multiple times to let us know they are closing soon. Then, she tried to take away my food while I was still eating. Let’s be clear: when I arrive 42 minutes before closing time, that is well within the window of decency for ordering. If it’s 3 minutes before closing time (when you stop taking food orders) it’s inappropriate to let us know your closing. When it’s 2 minutes past closing you don’t take my plates and tell me, “well we’re closed!” Learn some work ethic and customer service.

Little girl?! I've never seen children working there.... Not disputing the service you received (tho I've never had anything but courteous service) just your derogatory comment.

I usually don’t do Chinese food because it’s often slimy and oily. This food was neither! The veggies were fresh and crisp and the sauces/broth was light and delicious. We ordered take away and even when we got home it was steaming and boiling hot!

Best sesame balls! - Edit
Yes, they have the best sesame balls of any vegan or non vegan restaurant! Tasty, crisp, not greasy.
Read moreGreat selection of Chinese food, many that I have craved, but not seen vegan before, like mapu tofu (non vegan version is made with ground pork). That was delicious, but not quite the same as I remember the non-vegan version. Singapore style rice noodles are my favorite so far, I order them just about every time, and also try something new. Last time I tried taro sticks. Yum! Crispy, spicy deliciousness. This is my go-to place when I crave Chinese food. #Veganuary
Pros: All vegan, Delicious food, great variety , Great service
Cons: Plastic #5 containers. I.e., not even recyclable

What did I like about this place? EVERY. THING. The food, the boba tea, the folks working on Thanksgiving. The pumpkin tofu curry and Thai tea with boba were the highlights of the meal, but the folks here made the stop so much better. Found out new vegan stop in Sacramento!

Wow! Great food! My aspiring vegan friend loved it. I’ve bee vegan since 1997 - this is one of the best vegan restaurants in the US. Kung Pao has fresh veggies and great sauce. Chicken chow mein has great noodles and Napa cabbage. Sweet and sour soup and wonton soup came in huge bowls. Both yummy. Jasmine tea has jasmine blossoms! Definitely a destination any time I’m in Sacramento. Food is much better than the outside appearance.

I keep eating it before I can take a picture! - Edit
I keep meaning to review this place for Happy Cow and take pictures of the food but I eat it before I get a chance! It is very tasty vegan Chinese food. There are tons of options and everything I've had so far tastes great. Most impressively they have delicious red bean stuffed sesame balls as a dessert! Maybe if I could just stop eating it I would enclose a picture!🤷♀️😂

Pretty good vegan Chinese food! - Edit
Got takeout. I got the orange chick'n and the bf got sweet and sour chick'n. We also got rice, spring rolls, and some free sesame balls. The taste was great for everything, but I felt the chick'n pieces were too thin/shreddy on the sweet and sour, not good-sized "chunks." That wasn't a huge a deal though, since the food hit the spot. I'd return to try other items!

Sesame Balls!!! - Edit
I used to come here just to get a bunch of sesame balls to go, and I finally ate here for lunch and I can't wait to come back. So many choices, such great service, all vegan. Win-win-win! Oh, and did I mention the addictive sesame balls? Lol

Loved it! - Edit
Doordashed the mongolian beef and broccoli, non-vegan boyfriend got veggie chow mein and dumplings and loved them. Rice was perfect and my broccoli was amazing. Hot and sour soup was more sour than I'd prefer it but I'll definitely be back, they even threw in complementary sesame balls!!

Great food awesome staff - Edit
It took me a few minutes to decide what to order because there are so many good options. The staff could tell I was indecisive and suggest the vegan chicken chow mein. Great advice! It was super tasty. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I wish I lived in Sacramento as I would be here all the time.

So yummy! - Edit
Really delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful. I ordered vegan chicken chow mein and it was piping hot and fresh even after delivery to my house. The vegan chicken was legit. The vegan ribs with pumpkin and Taro and broccoli was super delicious as well and seemed pretty healthy and was very filling and reasonably priced. Spring rolls hot and yummy if not the healthiest. They threw in free sesame balls which were perfectly fried and not too sweet. They had some healthier veggie and tofu options if fake meat isn’t your thing. Will order again for sure!!

Delicious vegan Chinese food - Edit
There are 2 restaurants sharing the same space: E Tea (bubble tea restaurant that has vegan and nonvegan bubble tea) and Vegan Deadly Sins (vegan Chinese restaurant.
Read moreI went in with low expectations after reading the luke-warm reviews here, but I was pleasantly surprised! Everything was delicious! I did warn my family that a couple of the reviews suggested avoiding the vegan chicken, so no one ordered any vegan chicken dishes. I tasted the spicy wontons (with a chewy, meaty filling and not too spicy), the string beans & eggplant with black bean sauce (string beans were perfectly crisp-tender and the eggplant was soft and the sauce was delicious), and the double cooked pork (with soft smoky tofu and vegan pork and crisp-tender cabbage). The rest of my family also loved their food including the very picky older generation, who tried to speak with the staff in Mandarin but the staff did not speak Mandarin.
The tapioca boba for the bubble tea (from E Tea) is described as “honey boba” but they assured me that it is vegan honey from plants, not bees. They did not get specific so I don’t know if it’s a sugar syrup or maybe agave or something else.
You order your food at the counter, sit down, and it is brought to your table when it is ready. Everything is served in disposable takeout containers, even if you are eating there, although I hope this is a temporary situation because of covid.
Pros: Delicious, A big, varied menu, Large portions
Cons: Plastic/disposable containers and utensils

Not sure about this place, need clarification - Edit
We ordered veggie fried rice that ended up being generic and more on the bland side. What I was mostly concerned about is when I ordered the green tea with aloe drink from their online menu which said nothing about honey but when we received the drink it said “green tea with honey” on the label without any indication of aloe. We took it back and told them we couldn’t have honey but the employee insisted it wasn’t “real” honey. We tried to find the ingredients list on the drink ourselves but found the brand of the drink instead so we chose to call them out of curiosity to see if the drink had real honey. They told us there was a possibility it wasn’t real honey but could not say for sure if it was actual honey or not. This was disappointing because when I originally ordered the drink from their online menu, there was no name or statement of honey for this particular item, it was only stated as “green tea with aloe”
Read moreFor anyone interested in this drink or has anymore information, I’d love some clarification only because it kind of puts me off from this restaurant now. I’d be willing to try them again but not before my main options of loving hut, Anna’s in the area and with strong clarification that what I’m ordering is 100% vegan
I also feel like this was more of a first impression of the place and without having tried anything else on the menu, I can’t share further input on the quality and flavor of the food even though the veggie fried rice was not a hit for us

Threw most of it away - Edit
The fake chicken that they use literally smells funny. It tastes weird too, so much so that I threw out most of the two dishes that I got. I literally could not eat it. It's almost impossible to eat food that smells bad.
